Cat acts fine, but is hardly eating22 Dec 2005 17:21 GMT16
My 1 year old neutered male is acting as playful and active as usual,
but for the past 24 hours has had little interest in food.  He has
eaten small amounts, but much less than his usual chow hound behavior.
If it weren't for the significant decrease in appetite I wouldn't even
Cat Drinking More Water than Usual22 Dec 2005 17:20 GMT6
Our cat suddenly seems to be drinking lots of water.  He is a one year
old male ginger cat and since a kitten he has always drank from a mug.
He has recently started to drink a good cm or 2 of water a day from the
mug (big round one).  He eats a mixture or dry and wet food (quite a

Hi My cat is about 6 years old and she sleeps all the time and drinks
so much water!!!! She's always been very very heavy, even on diets
she's always been overweight. I've been reading the posts and am now
wondering if she is diabetic and will have to bring her into the vet
Cat Recovery After URI22 Dec 2005 16:47 GMT6
My cat recently had a upper respiratory infection and ran a high fever
for over a week. That was about 2 weeks ago that he came down with the
illness, not long after adopting him from a local shelter. Since then
the fever appears to have stopped as he is now less lethargic, willing
Ping Phil P re: FIP22 Dec 2005 11:49 GMT19
A web search on FIP yielded some conflicting info. Links to this subject on
your site are down. What is the latest information regarding how contagious
this virus is? Can a cat survive FIP? If so can this cat ever live with
other cats?
Cat on a diet22 Dec 2005 02:48 GMT16
My cat weighs 12.8 pounds and needs to loose 1 more pound. He started
off with 14 pounds and has done an amazing progress in the last couple
of months. I feed him 1/2 cup of Purina Cat Chow Dry Cat Food Indoor
Formula (1/2 * 390 = 195 kcal). But, in the last weeks he has stopped
Behavior21 Dec 2005 22:54 GMT10
Cats are like people
If you bring a stray home, the stray wants to be friendly, a stray is
not choosy about it's food.
You take a fat cat like Lucille, she's never worked a day in her life!

As a lot of you know  I joined the group not that long ago.  I wanted to
say thank you to everyone  for letting me rant, talk my head off, answering
my post and helping me when I needed it.
I wanted to say a special thanks to all those with the purrs and hugs
cat attacks new dog21 Dec 2005 16:33 GMT3
We took in a stray cocker spaniel a week ago, he is very friendly and pretty
much ignores the cat. But my cat attacks the dog. We've had the cat 1.5
years and she is fine with our lab. But if the new dog walks by, the cat
jumps him and really hurts him. He had blood pouring down his ...
Aaaaaaaaawwwwwww21 Dec 2005 00:19 GMT7
This morning I woke up and Gaya was curled up against my side looking all
cute and cuddly and she was purring really loudly like when she was a
kitten.. She looked up at me, stretched one paw as if to say "Would you pet
me please?" and we stayed in bed for a long time just cuddling ...

The Oliver/Gatsby Custody Case20 Dec 2005 12:39 GMT5
This is a case where I do not envy the judge. Whatever the outcome somebody
will be hurt.
