cat self mutilation - long story31 Dec 2005 21:56 GMT4
Hello, I'm posting on behalf of an old roommate and friend who owns a 5
year old brown and white tabby named Shig, and a 4 year old grey female
tabby named Neki. About three years ago, Shig began scratching the back
of her neck to the point that she bled and her fur came out. As far ...
Sudden loss of mobility in front legs31 Dec 2005 21:36 GMT10
My cat had a sudden loss of mobility in both front paws.
Our Vet says it is not a clot as she still has partial use of both paws
and pulls away when you pinch her toes.
She seems to have problems moving her legs toward her head. They seem
Cat Survives Being Locked in Cage, Tossed in River31 Dec 2005 18:12 GMT4
MISSOULA, Mont. (Dec. 30) - If cats have nine lives, a kitty here has
definitely used one up.
The house cat survived being locked in a cage, thrown off a bridge and
then stranded in an icy puddle of river slush.
Has a cat ever clawed your eyeball?31 Dec 2005 15:33 GMT6
I came very close to getting my eyeball scratched when getting too
cozy with a new cat.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced an eyeball injury via cat
claws.
The kitty from hell!31 Dec 2005 06:57 GMT21
Don't get me wrong.  I'm a cat person myself, and I like my girlfriend's
cat.  But the little bugger has been driving me insane!
My GF and I live together.  A few years back, she adopted this cat from
a friend, and he has always been a wonderful kitty.  A bit grumpy at
Cat Hair Remover31 Dec 2005 06:05 GMT6
I have 7 cats. Does anyone know of a product that picks up cat hair
from clothes? I have those rolling things but they don't do a very good
job.  or, if the rolling things are the only option is there one brand
that is better than the others?
another cat fighting question31 Dec 2005 03:53 GMT16
I'm new to the group so this question may have been answered numerous
times already. I have a one-and-a-half year old male cat who is
considerably larger than the one-half year old female cat we introduced
to the house earlier this year (about twelve lbs. to four lbs.). Since
cat suddenly limping - how long can wait before going to vet30 Dec 2005 23:40 GMT2
Hello,  my cat suddenly started not using one of his hind legs.  One
minute he was fine, then suddenly, seemingly without any obvious event
like a failed jump or sharp object or something, he started not using
his leg.  I can't see any obvious injury or swelling.
Cat fancier need advice from Dog lovers30 Dec 2005 14:44 GMT1
Last month a tatterdemalion puppy showed up.  Poor thing had been
starved and abused.  I fed him and he was so grateful although he
cowered anticipating to be hit..
When Katastrophy, my cat, checked the dog out she crawled to within a

What it is(update)29 Dec 2005 20:05 GMT5
Ok, haven't seen em today but looked up Bengals on the internet. Yup that's
it. I have heard of them before but never seen one. What a neat and
beautiful cat. Good with other people and kids apparently. Must be an
expensive kitty. Are they generally a healthy cat? I sometimes ...
Espy is ailing29 Dec 2005 15:53 GMT3
3yo Male DSH is ailing this morning. First I couldn't find him but he
seems a bit deaf and doesn't always show up right away if he's off
sleeping somewhere other than the bedroom. Maybe he's just a very
heavy sleeper but sneaking up on him when he's sleeping does not take
Fasting before spay tomorrow morning - how long29 Dec 2005 15:29 GMT10
We brought in a stray about a month ago.  She's somewhere around 6
months old and we have her scheduled for spay surgery tomorrow morning.
When I scheduled the spay, nothing was said about fasting before
surgery, and I didn't think to ask.  The vet's office is closed today

Beloved pet crossed the bridge today.29 Dec 2005 05:15 GMT21
Seventeen years ago it was -30C and I was bending over to plug in my
car when a tiny scrap of black fur quite literally fastened his little
body around my face. Nose to nose, he mewed at me, the most pathetic
little sound you can imagine. To me it said "Lady, if you don't take me
