Seeking books or info about Feline AIDS (FIV)10 Nov 2005 21:04 GMT7
My cat was just diagnosed with Feline AIDS, and I can't seem to find
any useful information.
The vet clinic in my town had nothing to offer, so I'm searching the
net.   I know the disease is also called the Feline Immundeficiency
Our cat had a little accident.  :(  Advice please!10 Nov 2005 07:28 GMT84
Our 2 year old tabby Jinx hurt himself somehow during the night and I
was hoping for some advice, specifically whether we should take him to
the vet.  I figure pictures speak louder than words so I took a closeup
of the wound:

I'm new  to the group. I've got two cats that I adopted from my
wonderful local shelter and now I'd like to volunteer there but wish to
take all precautions to prevent bringing home diseases to my guys. I
plan to keep a change of clothes and shoes in a bag and change in the
Freckled noses on orange tabbies10 Nov 2005 03:27 GMT12
When I took Abernathy to the vet with his bladder infection, I asked the
vet quite a few other questions.
One was: What are those strange black flecks on his very pink nose?
Her answer: Freckles!
Stupid question about my cat and antibiotics10 Nov 2005 00:40 GMT13
With luck this won't be an issue in the morning but I have a
question about my cat and his antibiotics. Sometime between
the time I went to bed monday night and the time I woke up on
tuesday one of my cats managed to cut one of his toe pads on

A kissing cat09 Nov 2005 16:58 GMT23
My cat recently has taken to kissing me! At least that is what I think it
is.
He is in bed with me, then purposely strides up to my face, and deliberately
plants his nose on my nose. I was a little disconcerted at first, but have
Mixing cats with and without ocular herpes09 Nov 2005 16:14 GMT13
A situation has arisen for me in which I've moved into a friend's
apartment with my two 1.5 year old cats (sisters) who do not show any
signs of ocular herpes, and to my knowledge (based on numerous checkups
with a vet) are healthy and disease free.  My roommate has a cat that
Phosphorus and kilocalories of "new" Marinated Morsels by Fancy Feast09 Nov 2005 14:39 GMT11
I went to buy the Marinated Chicken or Tuna Feast in Savory Juices, as
Phil had pointed out, they are low in phosphorus. And low in
kilocalories, I might add.
BUT, it's now Marinated Morsels Chicken [or Tuna] Feast in Gravy,

Lymphoma recovery?09 Nov 2005 12:45 GMT2
My cat "Freedom" was recently afflicted by loss of body-coordination/ control
in her back end (legs, excretory function), and getting worse throughout her
body over time (so she finally would just lay flat on her side, just crawling a
bit, with little interest in trying to eat or ...
felix habilis09 Nov 2005 11:14 GMT5
One of my cats, Riley, strikes me has being handier with his paws then
what is usual, at least in my own experience. None of his paw tricks
are unique, but taken as a group, it seems that he's really jonesing
for an opposable thumb. Alas, his genetic line stops here. Anyway, I'm

My auntie who's house I'm at right now
