Friskie's Dental Diet?14 Nov 2005 13:36 GMT10
A friend told me that Friskie's Dental Diet made his cats sick. I've been
feeding a limited amount to my two cats for at least a year - maybe ten
pellets a day. Neither seems to be bothered and their teeth seem to be
clean. The few cases of throwing up seem to be hairball related ...
Cat tattoos?14 Nov 2005 10:09 GMT23
I adopted 2 beautiful brothers from the animal shelter on Sept 29. The
shelter told us that they were 2 yrs old and that they were originally
brought in sometime in Feb 05. Then (not sure when), someone adopted
them, only to return them to the shelter in early Sept. After a

cat nip addiction, is it possible? My Mozzy will only come in or take
notice, if there are cat nip treats to coax him.
Is he addicted, just spoilt, or like the misses says, twisting me round his
pointy little claw?

Just got back from a doctor's visit and the irritation on my arm has
turned out to be ringworm. Have an indoor only cat, 2years old dsh
that is showing no signs of lesions at all. If the cat is not showing
any signs I'm assumming he can still be infected with it, true? Is it

I'm new here and pleased to meet all of you!  I have had a very hard year,
lost my three beloved cats, ages 13 and 15, and my heart dog at the age of 18.
3 years. I really didn't want another pet because of the tremendous pain but
fate/karma decided otherwise when a feral mama left ...
Panting like a dog - is this normal?13 Nov 2005 01:25 GMT15
Yeah, yeah, I'm a bit over protective. LOL.
Baby Jasmine has, since I adopted her, panted like a dog when she's had
a big round of play (heavy running and chasing). Her mouth open, tongue
hanging out a little bit, just like a dog does. (She has a couple of
Litterbox Poopalooza Festival13 Nov 2005 01:11 GMT8
I now have 5 indoor cats with the appropriate number of litterboxes
throughout the house. All get cleaned daily and completely changed out
weekly with top off amounts of litter added as needed. Two of the boxes are
at opposite ends of the same room.
Cat not good - time for euthanasia?12 Nov 2005 09:36 GMT80
Our cat, Neil, is now nearly 12 years old and has been not well for
about 6 months.
6 months ago we noticed that his abdomen was beginning to swell up
quite a bit so we took him to the vets. Turns out his abdomen was full
Litter Box Digging?12 Nov 2005 04:23 GMT9
I just adopted my first kitty. I'm not sure how old she is but I do
know that she is young. I was wondering if digging in the cat litter is
normal? She has been digging in the litter box like she is looking for
something. I've had her for only a week and she just started (or at
Teeth falling out normal?  Cat is 13.11 Nov 2005 19:38 GMT21
My cat George has lost a tooth.  He was meowing into my wife's face,
and she noticed that his usual Four Big Teeth smile was down to three.
My wife took George to our family vet, who gave George his shots (he
was due) and pronounced his teeth okay.  The vet gave no explanation
Bad Press for Cats11 Nov 2005 17:41 GMT8
Have you all heard the "report" recently that links cat ownership with
schizophrenia? What is particularly disturbing is the allegation that
cat ownership as a child will increase dramatically the chances of
adult-onset schizophrenia. It's just bad press for cats. I really hope
Baby Kitten w/dry flaky skin...Help!11 Nov 2005 06:32 GMT8
I found a Kitten in a bush a little over a week ago. He was so
obviously not supposed to be away from mom yet! He's been wonderful
though. I cleaned him up, got rid of the fleas and he's eating dry cat
food and I also feed him a little baby food every now & then. I'm not
