help - declawing25 Nov 2005 17:45 GMT3
I'm just devastated and could use some advice on how to handle this.
My little cousin (like my little sister to me) is all set next fall to
start college, and she's planned to be a vet since she could talk. The
only thing that changes regularly is what kind of vet. (A few weeks ...
Petmate Fresh Flow noise25 Nov 2005 05:42 GMT9
I just got a Petmate Fresh Flow fountain for my cat recently and while
the pump was almost silent when I first turned it on, it now has an
irritating noise that comes and goes.  What are the experiences of
others who have bought this product?  I'm trying to decide whether to

Declawing etc Illegal in Rome24 Nov 2005 12:00 GMT302
Rules aimed at protecting animals' rights are praised by activists, but
can
the city really enforce them?

Staving off a cystitis attack?24 Nov 2005 11:57 GMT10
I think Meep may be working her way to another cystitis attack, despite
the glucosaine, wet food, strategicly-placed water bowls and Drinkwell
(she does drink tons more now!)
I don't want to wait until she's in pain, and I'd like to avoid the
Cat: Swollen lymph nodes24 Nov 2005 11:52 GMT3
About two months ago, I adopted a kitten from a rescue center.  When
she came home, she had very bad diarrhoea, passing no solid material
whatsoever.  I tried worming her and changing her diet, which in the
short term didn't seem to have any affect.  Referring this condition
My new cat...Blimpo...24 Nov 2005 07:04 GMT18
Greetings ~
Well, back in early September, Fatass finally lost her battle with CRF.
She was tough right to the end, but she was blind, did not eat
anymore, and her back legs were not really working anymore.  One of the
Sick kitty or winter blues?24 Nov 2005 05:58 GMT7
My 3 year kitty is usually sleeping during the day and upbeat an
playful @ night.  Loves going out into the garden to hang out w/ou
neighbor's cat. Very vocal and loves to talk.
For the past couple of days, he's been sleeping and being lazy all da
Elwood Update (urinary blockage)24 Nov 2005 01:41 GMT7
According to the vet, Elwood is doing good. He still shows some signs
te crystils (struvite) so they want to keep him overnight again.
The only thing is, he wasn't eating, which doesn't surprise me as he
is real picky. I am worried about this though - how long can he go
Frozen hamburger23 Nov 2005 19:55 GMT11
I found some frozen hamburger suffering from freezer burn, so I put it
in a plastic bag (it being already in plastic) to throw into the trash
chute. I left it for 2 minutes, and Hodge had chewed through the plastic
bag, working his way in. Cats must have some sense of smell -- ...
Ear Mites23 Nov 2005 16:06 GMT2
Ok...so I recently saved a 4 wk old barn kitten.  No one would take him as he
wasn't eating/eliminating like the others and it was too much work.  I am
currenlty unemployed so I brought him home and have tought him to eat and
potty.  He's playful and great...I suspected he wasn't ...
Not sure what to do23 Nov 2005 09:09 GMT62
You may recall that I posted a message regarding my 16 year old cat that
began limping.  He's still limping and I've scheduled an appt. for tomorrow
to have xrays taken (which is the only day this week the vet can do it
because of Thanksgiving this week).  This makes me nervous ...
low residue dry food22 Nov 2005 20:57 GMT1
When Harriet began having constipation problems over the summer, the
first vet she saw gave her Eukanuba Low Residue dry food (and canned).
She did not like the canned, and mostly she's been getting Wellness and
Petguard canned foods, which she loves.  She is a dry food junkie, so
More emphasis on wet food low in carbos22 Nov 2005 16:32 GMT16
Just thought I'd share this newsletter article with you
http://www.mercola.com/2005/nov/12/cats_need_wet_food.htm
Y'know, there's no rule that says you can't moisten your kitty's dry food
with filtered water either. But the authors do make a good point about the
Mayflower Cats?22 Nov 2005 12:35 GMT1
The Pilgrims leave Plymouth Harbor in England on a ship called the
Mayflower. They seek freedom in America to worship the way they want.
The voyage is difficult, but only one of the 102 passengers dies.
