Advice needed on interstate pet transport07 Nov 2005 05:53 GMT2
Hello, everyone - I am trying to coordinate the relocation of a cat in the
Southeastern U.S. to the Midwestern U.S. I do not live in either area,
although I will be onsite when the cat is picked up from its current home.
I'm Googling madly for pet transport services, both ground ...
Hematoma07 Nov 2005 04:47 GMT30
One of my cats has a hematoma (very swollen ear).  I really want to
take him to the vet to have it profesionally cared for, but we're on
such a tight budget that there's no way we could afford the procedure.
What would you recommend doing?
MORE ADVICE NEEDED ON SCREEN CLIMBING07 Nov 2005 00:21 GMT12
Our cat has cat trees to climb but insists on climbing the screens on all 3
sliding glass doors and the front door screen.  We have tried religiously
squirting him but he is not deterred.   We have even tried ignoring him
because we thought he might think it was a game, but nothing ...
Got a question about angel trumphet  Phil you might know this06 Nov 2005 23:58 GMT10
This plant is quite common here in Florida.
Can find information on it  but not effects of toxicology of it
Called poison control all they had on it was the effects of humans using it
to get high.

Pill Pockets05 Nov 2005 05:40 GMT4
I've been using the Salmon flavor Pill Pockets for about 10 days and love
them. Pookie just snarfs them down and doesn't notice the pill inside. I
just got a package of the Chicken flavor variety and it seems to be much
drier and crumbly. She's eaten these too, but they way the ...
Compounding pharmacy05 Nov 2005 04:12 GMT7
Abernathy figured out that coming to me for chicken meant that he would
soon get a pill. His fear overcame his love of food. We had one grand
nightmare one night trying to catch him in this small room.
The vet suggested a liquid antibiotic from a compounding pharmacy. This
Fishy Smell from Cat's Rear05 Nov 2005 02:48 GMT2
My 2-year old male cat has a pretty bad fishy smell coming from his
rear-end today.  This has never happened before.  Any idea as to what
this could be?

Cloudy Eye in one eyed Cat04 Nov 2005 21:30 GMT93
I know there is going to be some moron on this group who will post "take
it to the vet" AFTER IVE already SAID I CANNOT afford to do that.
Besides most vets don't do any better than I do after I've researched
the issue.
Peroxide and Cats?04 Nov 2005 06:30 GMT20
Jessie got a small scratch on her paw pad.  I tried to dab it with peroxide
on a cotton ball, but she was having no part of it.  DH suggested putting
some peroxide in a small bowl and then dipping her paw into that.  I didn't
want to get her fur soaked in peroxide - I know licking ...
Kitten behavior question03 Nov 2005 09:02 GMT4
I have two young foster kittens who came in separately. The one was 3 wks
old when he was left at our vets office. He was flea infested and quite
underweight. He's a very active kitten now but is still small for his age.
The other kitten was found outside by herself. She was in ...
Poop outside litter box02 Nov 2005 20:15 GMT4
My cat does a weird thing.  He poops right next to his perfectly clean
litter box (I scoop it out every day -- when there's something to
scoop!).  He's an only cat.   Is he trying to tell me something?  Is
this a health problem?
Nutrical and constipation02 Nov 2005 17:12 GMT2
Just wondering if Nutrical, since it is high in soybean and other oils,
would be helpful to a cat that is tending towards mild constipation.
My old kitty (19, the subject of another post) is not pooping as easily
as before.  He does go, but his stools are harder than normal despite
Do all cats experience the "lower back" response?02 Nov 2005 16:08 GMT9
Every cat I have ever known seems to react negatively to being scratched on
their lower back, just before the tail.  Some cats seem paralyzed by the
action, while others openly complain and jump away.
What is it with this area of the lower back that makes cats react this way?
