Can aloe vera be used on cats?30 Nov 2005 21:47 GMT4

regarding cats with skin conditions. I just wondered if it would be safe to

Situation: Our 3 year old desexed DSH male cat, Spock, wound up having
an emergency trip to the vet a few weeks ago because of a blocked
urethra.  It came on *very* quickly and we were lucky to get him to
Laser Pointers?30 Nov 2005 17:31 GMT10
A couple of questions about laser pointers.

guidance on a couple of points.
Critters in the water dish30 Nov 2005 15:01 GMT20
This morning I found some odd critters in the water dish
that is shared by our two cats. They appeared to be small
worms or flukes, about 3 or 4 mm long, clinging to the
inside of the bowl. They were white and each appeared to
Prednisolone30 Nov 2005 02:49 GMT7
Hiya,
I've been giving Kim a half  5mg tablet of prednisolone in the
morning and evening for her trout pout and tonight I couldn't get her
to swallow it and I guess tomorrow will be the same too. I crushed it
Kitty troubles at peeing time29 Nov 2005 21:13 GMT10
Not his peeing time!  Mine!
When I got him I thought he was a her.  (I have that problem with
'new' living things.) I put his litter box  in my utility room so we
each could have our privacy when nature called.
what should I do with this lovely cat?29 Nov 2005 20:36 GMT51
I live in an apartment and one of my neighbor abandoned a cat when they
moved away. Now this cat is in my apartment. It's really a sweetie. But cat

I'm new here and I know this is a highly emotional subject, and I
apologize, but my cat, Nutterbutter, has undergone a severe personality
change within the last few months.
He's 14 years old, and though he's been a relatively loving cat over
Something to be thankful for29 Nov 2005 10:25 GMT7
Flinx went into the crawl space under my neighbor's house to die.  He
probably would have been happy to die there. It was warm place on a cold
night; he was comfortable resting on a fiberglass insulating blanket.
He started crying when I carried him out and didn't stop until he had
Duffy in the Christmas tree29 Nov 2005 10:18 GMT5
I just posted 3 photos to alt.binaries.pictures.animals under the thread
"Duffy Decorates the Christmas Tree."  Duffy may be blind, but you can see
from these photos that he doesn't know the meaning of the word "can't."  (Of
course, many of you already knew that.  I think Duffy ...
Anyone have a cat OBSESSED with water?29 Nov 2005 01:42 GMT16
Dmitri liked the water; he preferred drinking from the toilet if I left
the lid open and he liked to sit on the edge of the tub when I took a
bath and bump heads.
Now Jasmine is positively crazy about the toilet. Not drinking, just

Hi, I've been lurking for a bit.
I live in South Florida, recently you may have heard about our visit by
Wilma.  In order to help a local shelter during the hurricane, I took
in 3 very young (1 week old) kittens.  This was easy as they were
