| Your experiences with vet competence | 20 Sep 2005 18:50 GMT | 21 |
Megan used to go on about finding a decent vet, and surprised me with how many vets are actually clueless and even dangerous. As a simple consumer, I hadn't realized this was an issue. I mean, these folks go to college, they get accredited, you would think there

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/17/theater/newsandfeatures/17cats.html?pagewanted=all Couple of cute performing cat pictures at the NY Times. "Cats are like actors," Mr. Kuklachev said. "They do what they want. Sometimes a cat doesn't want one trick, so he does another."

| Little bump on cat's head | 19 Sep 2005 21:31 GMT | 4 |
My cat has a hard little bump right on top of his head. It is the size of the average pimple and so hard I thought it was a bone knob or something, but it moves around and so is in the soft tissue, not attached to his skull.

| Is it o.k. to give cats "people" low sodium tuna | 19 Sep 2005 20:49 GMT | 14 |
My vet has prescribed Hill's K-D food with chicken for my 8 year old siamese cat. The only way I can get her to eat it is to mix in some low sodium " people " tuna. I mix 1 part tuna to 2 parts K-D. Is the tuna over-riding the benefits if K-D? And, what are the

| Who has tried Feliway? | 18 Sep 2005 19:54 GMT | 15 |
I've never tried Feliway on our cats, but may suggest it for the scaredy cat in Portland (he's still there for the time being, btw.) I was thinking she might try one last shot. If she won't try it, he will probably need something to help him wherever he goes.

| Declawing saved my cat's life, giving him 7 more years and saving the furniture as well. | 18 Sep 2005 19:26 GMT | 75 |
My mother died in 1997. "Bunch" was 7 years old at the time. He had torn up most of the upholstered furniture at mom's and had some wellness issues as well. It was Mom's wish that someone take Bunch so he could live a full life.

| Has anyone tried Feliway - before I waste my money | 18 Sep 2005 06:18 GMT | 5 |
I didn't get much response the first time I asked this question and wondered if the title sounded like spam - so here it is again: I've been reading about Feliway spray and/or diffuser and think it is what I am looking for for my worried cat.

MaryL, I don't know if you saw my post about the horrible trouble we're having introducing a new cat into our household. Somebody who responded to that post said you had some first-hand experience with that, and if so we'd appreciate any input you could give us.

| Do some cats just have looser stools? | 17 Sep 2005 00:21 GMT | 2 |
I adopted a cat last February, and immediately noticed that he had diarrhea. I know this is normal, when they are under stress etc. Well, it didn't go away for a month, so I took him to the vet. We did all the tests, and he was fine. So we started giving him Metronadizole pills. ...
