My "Tiger" eating enough?10 Aug 2005 23:32 GMT5
I have a pair of 4-year-old sister tabbies, Tiger and Shiloh. They both
tend to be a bit "robust," so I feed them Iams dry for weight control.
They each get 2 ounces twice daily.
Shiloh is a voracious eater and finishes her bowl. Tiger, though, often
Cat Paper - anyone else use this?10 Aug 2005 12:40 GMT18
Dmitri sometimes misses his litter box by a fraction of an inch, and
shoots all over the floor. If I happen to be in there when he's going
and see that he's missing, I can physically push his rear into position
and all is fine, but you can imagine the messes.
Question about new cats I just got about a week ago10 Aug 2005 09:38 GMT3
It must be asked alot but this is the first time I have had to deal
with this but I recently got two new cats from a lady who had no room
for them. She actually found them as strays and took them in, She said
it took a monthfor them to come around for her but i'm not sure if this
Article: "Sabertooth tigers were no pussy cats"10 Aug 2005 06:42 GMT1

DNA taken from the teeth of ancient sabertooth cats show they were
cousins of modern cats but not direct ancestors, scientists say.
Seeking experience with FIV+/FIV- multiple cat households10 Aug 2005 01:55 GMT9
We adopted Edmund 3 weeks ago. On Friday, I took him in for his
check-up and he was diagnosed as FIV+. We already have 2 cats living in
the house who are FIV-. The vet kindly offered to help me find him
another home. Did NOT suggest that FIV+/FIV- could live together.

odor09 Aug 2005 21:46 GMT8
Hi,  I have a 6 year old male cat who was neutered when he was very young.
I don't think he is peeing in my house as I have never seen any around and
his box is always full of it when I clean it daily.  But however my house
seems to have a strong odor in it.  He used to vomit ...
Low Protien Diet Question09 Aug 2005 18:40 GMT5
Hi all. My cat had 3 teeth pulled 2 weeks ago and he was doing great until
Thursday night when he started vomiting all over the place. Took him back to
the vet and was told that levels of something (sorry, I forget what the word
was) in his kidneys was a little high when they did ...

Cali09 Aug 2005 12:15 GMT12
Well, Cali's kitty acne is the least of her problems; she has a bacterial
infection of her mouth!!!!  She got a shot of penicillin and
depo something anti-inflammatory and I have antibiotic drops to give her.
Poor baby!  Heaven only knows how she got THAT!!
Kittens Day Two09 Aug 2005 07:40 GMT3
Today the kittens learned how to eat, how to drink water and how to
poop.  They haven't quite gotten the hang of walking on water yet, but
they're working on it.  One of the kittens, after stuffing himself with
cat food, started making scratching motions, so I tossed him in the

The cat is NOT AMUSED08 Aug 2005 22:26 GMT7
We're fostering a puppy for a while for an agency that brings puppies up
north for adoption events. We brought the puppy home and Ringo went
ballistic. OK, his home has been invaded by aliens, I get that. But geesh,
couldn't he even try to get along? The first half hour was pretty ...
Licking catnip08 Aug 2005 21:55 GMT4
Ok, the catnip thread got me thinking if my cat is just weird, or if
other cats do this, especially since I didn't see any mention of it.
I'll give my cat a typical catnip toy (she especially likes the "burlap
bag" type catnip toys).
