I posted this in rpca, thought I'd give you all a heads up here, for those
that want to duck and run like last time.
btw whoever thinks they are getting to me through spamming and sending
threats to my e-mail, it isn't working, and honestly, it's amusing to say

Carey update (inappropriate urination and random aggression to other pets)02 Aug 2005 15:16 GMT3
I should knock wood, but things are going really well.  The upped
Cosequin combined with the Cyproheptadine, and re-intro of Prozac,
seems to be a winning combo.
Carey is not yowling, not attacking the other pets, not peeing outside
cat had tapeworm02 Aug 2005 14:23 GMT4
Jake has recently gotten a bad case of diarrhea.
I brought him in to the vet today, and they gave him a shot for
Tapeworm. (I noticed one on his fur, and looked it up on the net)
He tested negative for everything else.
Update:  Tycho's Blood Work (19 yo with possible CRF)02 Aug 2005 12:24 GMT9
The blood work came back normal for kidney function.  Thanks so much
for all your kind words.  The Tapazole needed to be adjusted, he is now
up to 1.5 pills a day instead of 1.
He did have a slightly elevated liver enzyme, which I plan to discuss
kitty acne plus...02 Aug 2005 05:26 GMT3
Hi guys - I saw there was a kind of recent post about kitty acne.  Cali
apparently has it - I noticed it a couple weeks ago and since it
flakes off, I thought I could do that and it would *magically* go away
(duh).  I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow but what's weird is that
Looking for an affordable vet in Seattle -- URGENT02 Aug 2005 04:47 GMT1
A friend of mine saw this ad on Craigslist for someone who has a medical problem
with their kitty and can't afford the procedure.  If anyone has a suggestion for
her please send her (not me) an email.

Oh ick!02 Aug 2005 01:44 GMT1
I was wandering around in here with bare feet and just stepped
on something lumpy.  It looked like one of Mingy's toy mice.
Upon closer inverstigation, it was a dead mouse!!!!  Yuck.
The good news is timid Mingy did it.  And it was somewhere
Cat pining for his main squeeze02 Aug 2005 00:38 GMT15
My daughter is at camp for a month, and Ringo is having a very hard time of
it. I'm not sure how to cheer him up. He is moping around, sleeping on her
bed and not wanting to leave it, and otherwise ignoring all other family
members. He's her cat, but what are the rest of us, chopped ...
anal glands01 Aug 2005 14:55 GMT4
what do you know about swollen anal glands.  apparently a vet sticks his finger up a cat's a.s to
squeeze them and that relieves discomfort for a while.  can they be surgically removed to not have
to do that?  does the cat need them?  any other information would be greatly ...

So, the woman I'm buying a house from can't keep her 2 cats.
Their names are Gut & Gul....  The Danish version of Tweedle Dee &
Tweedle Dum.... Or so she tells me.  Both female, 6 yrs old, fixed, all

Help with kittie placement01 Aug 2005 06:07 GMT7
Okay, this is a tough one.
The situation is: we've decided to let my son's girlfriend spend her
senior year in high school here. This in itself has a rich and
interesting background, but since this is a cat newsgroup, I'll get on
Ear mites and other fun stuff!01 Aug 2005 01:28 GMT11
Just found this group and its so very interesting and informative! First
off we had one cat for 8 years *Schmoopie*, well brilliant me decided we
needed a kitten to amuse and irritate him, so I talked the hubby into
it. They get along ok, but now there are new problems arising. Last
