kitty tooth abcess24 Jul 2005 05:44 GMT8
I had him to the vet yesterday.  He got a shot of cortisone and a
bottle of Linconsin Aquadrops, two 1ml droppers twice a day.
He's already getting better, but he took a pretty good chunk of meat
out of my wrist on the second dropper this morning.  I wonder if I
Oops..I lost my temper dammit24 Jul 2005 05:41 GMT35
I'm a new first time cat owner who adopted a nice 1 year old male who
for the most part is very happy and contented but certainly likes to
push the limits. Not knowing better,I allowed the cat to roam mostly
wherever it wanted when it first came home but now he

Cat Puffing up for any real reason?24 Jul 2005 00:36 GMT2
My roommate has recently been experiencing behavior with his cat where
she will puff up in front of him. She didn't seem like she was
aggressive or too unhappy, and he is able to pet her.
Any ideas why this could be? She lives in a household with another cat
traveling success23 Jul 2005 19:22 GMT2
I'm home for the summer, and spending quality time for my cat.  My
mother saved Kitty's yearly check-up until I could take her myself.
Kitty has a very difficult time traveling.  She meows incessantly (and
she pretty much never meows in daily life), she throws up in her
Kill No Kill - Shelters, Is it Right23 Jul 2005 15:53 GMT8
Is it right to leave a cat caged for life in a no kill shelter.
I myself would rather be dead, than live my life in a cage.
Shouldn't there be a time limit, and aren't the euthanizations painless
to the animal?
Canned food & hot humid air23 Jul 2005 14:37 GMT7
Hi. I am just curious if anyone knows for sure if canned food should
be left in normal room temperature until opened, or is it better to
leave them in something like the butter section in the fridge to keep
it cool. I realize the cans can last a long time on the shelves in
Cat is terrified to go outdoors - UPDATE23 Jul 2005 06:08 GMT14
This poor little thing has had a litany of tests over the years, she
definitely has allergies, she has had every treatement to rule out this and
that over the years - I don't remember most of them, a skin biopsy which
took a lump out of her lovely face which proved inconclusive- ...
Kitten watches TV & sees self in mirror23 Jul 2005 01:57 GMT10
I have a 3 mo. old female kitten that sees herself in the mirror,
watches TV and if on a news station, tries to catch the messages
crawling across the screen.  Is this standard behavior or do I have an
oddball?  I don't remember my previous cat doing either of these
Why they do this...?23 Jul 2005 01:21 GMT11
I have a generally well-behaved 8 year old cat when it comes to using
her litter box.  She has only urinated outside of it a a couple of
times; however, although ocassionally (once. twice a month), she will
poop outside of it.  Usually, when she does this, it will be on one of
Decided not to put TB through surgery...22 Jul 2005 23:22 GMT6
Today's decision to NOT put TB through the surgery was probably THE MOS
difficult decision in my life.  After hemming, hawing, and crying abou
it for 4 days, I discussed it further with the vet and something jus
told me to not put him through it.  I decided to bring TB home wit
interferon omega22 Jul 2005 23:13 GMT4
I have been searching for Interferon Omega for my Kitty and think I have
figured out how to get it. The FDA Division of Compliance can accept a
request from Vets to order medicine from other countries. Once the
information is faxed to the FDA, they will then send out a letter ...
cyproheptadine?22 Jul 2005 22:04 GMT1
Anyone have a cat taking this for bladder/urinary issues?
We're starting Carey on it today.  I can't wait to see what it does to
her appetite - she's already always wanting to eat!
I've taken it for allergies, had a cardiomyopathy cat take it as
