Finding a roommate for a 14-yr-old single female cat?29 Jul 2005 14:02 GMT1
My brother lost both his beloved kitties over the last few years. He's
living with my sister, who owns a 14-year-old, rather unsociable
female (the cat likes my sister, but hates my brother and visitors).
This cat is one of those Maine-Coon-lookalikes, who always had issues

Yeesh. This place is starting to look like a library or something.

UK cat repellant spray- any suggestions?29 Jul 2005 10:28 GMT15
With two completely mad furballs we have developed a fairly tolerant
response to occasional incidents when furniture gets clawed but we have
a problem....
Sarrasine has developed almost a fetish for clawing at the speaker

So Fatass is doing well, stable and eating, now on 200mg/day of
lactated ringers.  We have another vet appt in a few weeks with full
blood work to be done again - but I am concerned about a 1 week
vacation I have coming up over labor day week.
Repairing small slits in sofa from cat claws28 Jul 2005 20:18 GMT11
I have a sofa that small slits (less than a half inch in length) from
the back paws of my cats.  What are the options to repair these slits?
Thanks.
Sneezing, need quick response please28 Jul 2005 19:14 GMT2
Ringo started sneezing non-stop about an hour ago. Nothing coming out, eyes
aren't runny, no discharge anywhere, but he's just sneezing and sneezing.
The ONLY thing that has been different about him is that today he went into
the kitchen garbage and pulled out the plastic top to a ...
Nipsy is driving me nuts28 Jul 2005 18:08 GMT2
I always seem to have one happy cat (that would be the position
currently held by Espy - DSH) and one unhappy cat (the role filled by
Nipsy). Espy is always smiling and inquisitive and talking, but Nipsy
(16 lb long hair, possibly part Maine Coon) always seems unhappy and
Can you find my sock?28 Jul 2005 09:46 GMT17
Who has identified my recent sock posts in this group?  I have only
used one sock and I haven't wasted it on Cheryl.

Carey the unusual kitty update28 Jul 2005 04:59 GMT17
As of last Friday, Carey has been on an increased amount of Cosequin
and the addition of Cyproheptadine and have stopped the Prozac.  I
have a call into the vet about the Prozac though.
Urination - nothing except in the box!  YEA!
Blacktop or black top on cats' paws from driveway28 Jul 2005 04:56 GMT6
Here's something that's been bugging me for 2 years.
2 years ago my cat wandered out over black top, that cold stuff you
black top driveways with. I think it was SealMaster. You get that from
Sears.
Botflies.28 Jul 2005 04:04 GMT3
Anyone else seeing a rash of these nasty little icky things? We've had three
yesterday (one in a neck, one behind an ear), and one today (found it up a
kitten's nose!) and I know we've had an awful lot of them this year already
anyway. They're disgusting, but fascinating. Anyone ...
the show is over folks27 Jul 2005 19:38 GMT11
From this point forward I'll no longer take part in your games of pin the
tail on the a.s.  All posts from me will be cat related, unless provoked for
one reason or another.
Let's see how many of you get bored :)
Ping Phil P. - Weight Question27 Jul 2005 15:29 GMT6
My vet said that Sammy needed to lose 1 pound to get to her ideal weight*.
So I've changed all 4 of my cats over to canned food almost exclusively (but
I still can't get them to eat it all at once since they're still used to
"browsing", so I still leave it down until it's all eaten ...
