Sunburn in White Cats03 Jul 2005 02:38 GMT21
After owning several cats our latest cat is all white.
I have read that these cats are prone to getting sunburnt ears.
What do you do to prevent this?
Do you get a preventative cream from the vet or can human
Question for those who walk their kitties03 Jul 2005 01:17 GMT14
I just returned from the 3rd time out with my 2 1/2 year old cat which
I adopted fromt he spca. Gave him time to get used the leash, all
Georgie really does out there is roll around on the cement and then
eat grass. I'm not expecting him to ever go jogging with me but is
Purevax rabies shot - PHIL03 Jul 2005 00:34 GMT6
Tiger just had his Purevax rabies shot.  Is it still only good for one
year?  I can't trust my vet on this because she recommends ALL shots to
be given yearly.

Special Thanks to Charlie Wilkes--Conan Rescue Motivator Extraordinaire!03 Jul 2005 00:01 GMT13
Charlie,
I will never forget you for stepping up and offering to take Conan when
nobody else would. I owe you, bigtime.
Thank God your Google history is what it is, because if it weren't I doubt
Pet Peeves02 Jul 2005 23:24 GMT3
When I doze off to sleep, THEN the cat springs onto the bed (and startles
me)  this takes a good 3 hours of sleep from me. It's a chemical thing.
If my first approach at landing is thwarted (going to sleep) it takes me a
while to get back to sleep, I usually get up.
PLEASE READ - Conan's Adoption02 Jul 2005 23:01 GMT202
Hi there.  I am posting this at the risk of being flamed for being a Googler
and a troublemaker.  I don't care.  I want Conan to go to a good home, and I
think that's what everyone else wants too.
I took it for granted that someone on here had actually had a conversation
Question about neutering02 Jul 2005 22:57 GMT3
This may seem like a silly question (sorry!) but I can't seem to find the
answer anywhere.
I was given a cat half a year ago from a friend. I can only guess, but I
think he's about six. I was told that he was fixed, however, it occured to me
PLEASE READ: Action needed to change Orange County policy requiring FIV vaccination02 Jul 2005 17:12 GMT19
I was greatly concerned when I learned (in the "Ping Philip..." thread) that
Orange County Animal Care Services routinely vaccinates all cats for FIV. As
others pointed out in their responses, this means that cats from that
shelter will test positive for the virus - as a direct ...
Another THING in the backyard02 Jul 2005 13:53 GMT9
Perhaps a few folks will recall that I had an oPossum in my backyard a
few months back. The backyard is fenced in so that my cats can't get
out, but it isn't angled to stop critters from getting in. I do live
in New York City so there aren't too many critters around.
Dry cat food in a Hot car02 Jul 2005 04:59 GMT3
How long is it safe to keep dry cat food in a hot car?
I need to get more dry cat food at the store, it would be more
convenient to pick it up first rather than last. If I pick it up first,
it will have to sit in the hot car for at least 2 hrs. I wouldn't think

Will you Marrry Me, or at least think about Marrying me.
You don't have to answer right now, or outloud.
Help Cat with Problem!!!01 Jul 2005 16:02 GMT11
I have an online friend who has been having a problem with her cat
two-year-old female cat, M.  My friend is now at her wits end both
because of the cat's inappropriate urination and its new obsession with
constantly trying to wake them up at night.  (More details re that:
Voodoo Vets01 Jul 2005 15:56 GMT3
Anyone got any horror stories about vets bilking a client?
Running excessive tests? Doing surgeries that ultimately ended in
death, and then after you think about it, the whole procedure should
have been avoided, or could have been avoided?
Rant!01 Jul 2005 09:42 GMT8
The people who live across the street just bought their home 6 months ago
for $225,000 (we knew the people who lived there before them and knew what
they were asking for their newly remodeled home).  They have a brand new SUV
in the driveway.  They have a brand new motorcycle in the ...
