Duffy and Holly photo albums08 Jul 2005 22:54 GMT19
I just "created" new Picture Trail photo albums for Holly and Duffy.  Some
of the photos are duplicates of the ones I use in the albums that illustrate
Duffy's introduction to Holly, but many are new.
Here are the links, for those who would like to view them.  A word of
Vaccines--which are necessary?08 Jul 2005 18:13 GMT19
On advice from KellyH, Lauren, and Phil P. I spoke with my vet about

where I take my cats have been trained a the NC State Vet School--one
graduating about 30 years ago, one 20, and the other less than 10, ...

Practicing the pounce08 Jul 2005 16:47 GMT2
When I play with my cats, dragging a toy attached to a wand, they like
to practice the way they pounce. They get all exotic with crazy
somersaults and stuff, and if they mess up the approach, they stop, go
back and hide in their pounce spot, and start over.

The cheesecake mini-thread reminded me of this one, which I probably
pulled from here originally:

L-Lysine dose?08 Jul 2005 11:22 GMT17
Hello all, I've got some stray kittens who came to me with their eyes
glued shut with green mucus, runny noses, covered with fleas, and
practically bald from ringworm.  They're on a round of "Clavamox" after
finishing a round of "Amoxi-drops".  They're also being dipped once a

Drooling kitty08 Jul 2005 06:46 GMT21
What causes a cat to drool incessantly?
Our one year old, Saffron, was drooling quite a bit on Sunday. I watched
it off and on all day, wondering if she should go to the emergency vet.
She was sleeping, purring, eating, and otherwise was fine so I held off.
Dan Mahoney has Conan's Fate in his Hands08 Jul 2005 06:37 GMT102
It is not up to Monica. Dan is the one who adopted him as far as the Orange
County Shelter is concerned, so he is Conan's owner. Dan is the one who
boarded Conan at the kennel near his house.
It is entirely up to Dan what happens to this cat, so we might as well leave
Hyperthyroidism became hypothyroidism08 Jul 2005 06:31 GMT13
>From too much thyroid to too little.
Treatment with radioactive iodine worked too well on my cat.
My hope of having a well cat who doesn't need a pill has just
evaporated.

Ping Candace (and others) - How's Abbey (and other kitties)?08 Jul 2005 06:27 GMT7
With all the bru-ha-ha going on, we haven't heard much about the health of
"at risk" kitties lately.  So...
How has Abbey been?  Has the fluid in her chest been building up again, or
is the medication helping?  Anything further on her prognosis?
Wellness Canned Update --  My Cat's reaction08 Jul 2005 01:13 GMT13
Well, after going through 2 cases of Hill's Liver & Chicken, my cats
stools were pretty normal. It was initially hard to get them to eat the
stuff, but by the end of the last case, they'd accepted it. Ivan's
chronic runs which were present since January had cleared up well, so I
