Loves to Bite!?!31 Jul 2005 22:43 GMT1
My kitten loves to bite me. She doesn't do it to hurt me. It seems like
she does it because she thinks I am a cat? What to do?
Feral Cat Q.31 Jul 2005 20:37 GMT13
Here's a question for anyone who knows anything about ferals--
Will the offspring of a feral cat *always* be wild WRT human contact?
That is to ask, if a stray kitten can be handled by humans, can you
always assume that it's been socialized by humans before? Or are there
Expiration on dietary supplement31 Jul 2005 13:57 GMT1
I purchased a product called Energel (similar to Nutri-Cal) last year
but it doesn't have an expiration date or a phone number to call to
find out. Does anyone have any ideas how long this kind of stuff last
before it goes bad? I would assume that it would be about the same as
Dmitri update (paging PhilP again)31 Jul 2005 11:13 GMT5
Hi everyone and Phil,
I finally got a urine sample over to the doc and she just called me.
Things are pretty much in the normal range. He had a tiny amount of
blood in his urine, so he's going to do a week of antibiotics. (He's

Our travels With Tucker30 Jul 2005 23:57 GMT3
Some may remember me from last year, just about this time. I was
actually around quite a bit. Since then I've been able to read
periodically but never post. (Not sure I can this time LOL)
When I last posted it was about taking a kitty full time RVing (since my
What's with Loki?30 Jul 2005 20:03 GMT13
I've caught Loki, my 5 year old neutered male, mounting Toffee (spayed
female) twice today.  He seriously looks like he wants to get it on with
her!  Poor Toffee seemed confused.  Loki was neutered at 12 weeks.  I've
never seen him display this type of behavior.  Toffee is a very ...
My 19 yo cat may have CRF and other issues- need support30 Jul 2005 17:38 GMT5
I'm just feeling like I need some cyber hugs here for Tycho.  He is 19
and has been on Tapazole for hyperthyroidism for about 1.5 years.  I
took him for his checkup last night, and the poor guy has lost 3 lbs
since October.  He was last checked (blood) in October of 04.  His
moving cross country with 4 cats30 Jul 2005 16:53 GMT6
...and the move will have to be by air travel.  Does anyone have
experience with Delta airlines Pet Air Cargo or private pet moving
services?  We have to move the 3rd week of August.  Blech.
Good List for new cat owners30 Jul 2005 14:56 GMT1
I think most of us know these but good list for new cat people. I thought it
was most interesting the bit about "ask children". Very good point.

How to Determine if Your Cat Needs Medical Care
Reaction to vaccine?30 Jul 2005 12:58 GMT27
In January '03 I got my cat Bandit his booster.  The next day he wasn't
well, very weak, etc.  He ended up spending four days in the vets and his
red blood cell count was really low.  The vet insisted at the time it was a
coincidence and not related to the booster.  I was nervous ...
No more Wellness30 Jul 2005 02:01 GMT14
At last my local pet shop has just about run out of Wellness.  The only cans
left are the fish ones either the cats won't eat or I won't buy.  The shop
owner says she orders weekly and I know everyone is in the same pickle.  So,
if any of you find out that there is a turn-around in ...

Adding new cat29 Jul 2005 23:28 GMT2
We currently have a 1.5 - 2 year old female that we adopted 6 months or
so ago. She is a fabulous cat. She is especially attached to me, it
seems. We have decided to do a trial adoption of another 8 month old
female. I think our current cat will enjoy having a playmate as a
Tragedy turns to hope - Shelter epidemic spurs wide adoptions29 Jul 2005 16:53 GMT1
Okay, I'm on one of my posting binges here, so here's the last of the
night.
Our local Humane Society had an outbreak of feline distemper, and it
killed a lot of their kitties. The newspapers reported it, and folks
