| Do vets really care? | 22 Jun 2005 17:37 GMT | 23 |
My special friend is Yogi, 17 years old. He has had 6 vets in his lifetime and each has been different in their approach to diagnosing and treating any illness he has had. I would just like to say that in his last days I have done a lot of soul

| Mad man Tiger | 22 Jun 2005 05:35 GMT | 3 |
Tiger is still mad. All I have to do is look at him and he growls and spits. This is a result of a vet visit. He got his Purevax rabies shot and then was anesthetized so they could give him a good butt trim. They also gave him an ear flush. It takes him a long while to get over ...

| Cats bleeding? | 22 Jun 2005 03:36 GMT | 5 |
My cats love the bathroom and get all over the bathtub, toilet and sink. Lately I have seen what appears to be blood spatters where they've been roaming. I only notice it in the bathroom. I've checked them all over (paws, anus) for signs of bleeding but can't find

| Cats and human pregnancy | 22 Jun 2005 03:18 GMT | 15 |
I am about three months pregnant and my two cats will not leave my side. Especially the younger of the two, Stella. She will curl up on my belly and purr loudly. Could she hear or feel the placenta noise or feel the warmth?

| Those family car decals | 22 Jun 2005 03:06 GMT | 5 |
I've been seeing these really cute "stick people" decals on cars that show what makes up the family. I saw one that went across the whole back window: Dad, mom, three boys, two girls, two babies, two dogs, and a cat. I finally went out and found them and I have cat (she gets to ...

| Conan Update Mon. 6/20 9 am CST | 21 Jun 2005 20:21 GMT | 10 |
I just spoke with Hector, the regular shelter manager and let him know Conan's sad story and that I want to pay his adoption fee if someone expresses interest in him (with the condition that they will not declaw him). I also mentioned that Conan's plight had caught the attention of

| whats the best furniture for standing up to cat claws? | 21 Jun 2005 19:06 GMT | 27 |
my wife cant stand my left over bachelor looking black leather stuff, and while the cats havent pierced it, its pretty scratched up. she's wondering about microfiber, but the stuff im familiar with would get destroyed in two seconds.

| Indoor cats and declawing | 21 Jun 2005 18:56 GMT | 24 |
With the risk of starting a war, I had not heard of declawing until I came on this site, we do not do this, as far as I know, in the UK. Also, we rarely keep our cats inside. It sounds barbaric to me, to pull the claws out of a cat, it would be like having your

| Poor Conan | 21 Jun 2005 15:17 GMT | 163 |
I feel certain that Conan's return to a high-kill shelter has probably resulted in his death already. Let's all hope that there is something like the Rainbow Bridge or that cats have an afterlife, too, so that Conan finally feels love and happiness now after an earthly life of
