Help from subQ experienced please!25 Jun 2005 01:44 GMT6
I just noticed a *huge* swelling around Jessie's right leg.  It's not
sensitive to the touch and it wasn't there earlier today.  Is it possible
that the subQ fluids she received at the vet's today "traveled" down to her
leg?  The vet told me to expect a lump on her back from it, but ...
I have to let Lucky go...25 Jun 2005 01:37 GMT1
I got Lucky last summer... she was deserted on my back porch at 2 days
old. I took care of her and raised her, but I'm in a situation where I
need to let her go. I'm signed up in the Army and I ship off in August.
My family loves her as much as I do, but they're all terribly ...
Taking Kitty in Car24 Jun 2005 23:52 GMT13
Yesterday one of my kitties passed away.  Thank you so much to all who
responded with kind words and prayers.  The reason I write now is that
my other kitty is now by himself.  He seems to be doing okay but I know
he's looking for his sister.
Good News on Jessie!24 Jun 2005 23:33 GMT3
Her lab work is back and although she was slightly dehydrated, they didn't
find anything wrong with her kidneys (her creatinin and BUN were perfect).
She did have a low white cell blood count so the vet thinks it is either a
viral infection or, more likely, an early bacterial ...
Gingivitis - WHAT DO I DO!! So stressed!24 Jun 2005 23:13 GMT9
Hi there my vet said my cat is developing  a little gingivitis. I know
doesn't sound like a big deal but I just lost one cat due to FIV.
She mentioned I should probably have his two big teeth pulled. However
I am concerned as I've never heard of cats going to the dentist.
Why does he love blueberries?!24 Jun 2005 22:20 GMT7
Hi, My cat has some weird habbits. I tried to give him treats, like
regular cat treats, he hates them!! He won't even eat tuna or shrimp or
anything like most cats. He loves his regular cat food and for treats
he will go nuts for angel food cake and blueberries.
Meep the Travelcat (vacationing with a cat)24 Jun 2005 21:46 GMT1
I had to write about this, as I'm fairly certain my experience is unusual.
We drove to Scotland last week, and took Meep with us.  This in itself
is not unusual, we used to take her on trips all the time, but have done
this less the last couple of years - I couldn't quite decide ...
Neutering an older cat24 Jun 2005 19:37 GMT5
My cat Buckley went in for neutering today.   He's about 9 -10 months old --
is he to old for it to have any impact on his aggression?  He's a total purr
box but has also become very bity!   If neutering doesn't help this, what
will?

Main Coon puts mice in his food24 Jun 2005 15:57 GMT11
Okay, not real mice, but those fake mice that cost under $1 at the pet
store. He puts them in his food and water bowls. Is he trying to tell
us something? Like,"you see, it's not ME eating and drinking all
this...it's the mice." These are the same mice he drops at the foot of
How much to feed our cats24 Jun 2005 11:04 GMT3

Conan Update 6/20 9 pm CST24 Jun 2005 05:29 GMT34
Conan was not adopted today.
The good news is, we have someone to go and pick him up from the shelter if
he is in danger.
He cannot offer Conan a foster home, but is willing to take him to the
