stray kitty named Kady for "little warrior" update02 Jun 2005 19:45 GMT5
The kitty is doing very well, other than the peeing and pooping in the
litter box part.
She is faithfully eating and drinking, and pottying.... just not in the
litter box.
Feliway02 Jun 2005 12:12 GMT5
Mico has drawn blood from me from his last scratching bout, and I almost
gave him away today.  I called the vet and asked how much Feliway is - I was
told the diffuser and refill are $95.  This is Canadian funds, and I think
without tax.
what now?02 Jun 2005 00:14 GMT36
I posted a while back about my elderly constipated cat.  I have added
rice bran to his food, makes him go more, but still like pebbles, I now
add 5 drops of liquid paraffin every evening to some tuna, but he still
is very constipated, he has such trouble going, he often ends up ...
Megan - Wellness vs Trader Joe's01 Jun 2005 21:32 GMT5
Re-researching foods, and when looking at low protein and low
phosphorous for renal issues, the TJ's food is lower in both than any
of the Wellness flavors.  I'm not sure why I'd want to switch to
Wellness.
Can he catch something?01 Jun 2005 20:34 GMT3
Here's the story.  My 16 yr old cat has been vaccinated every year of his
life until about 3 years ago when I read that cats didn't need to be
vaccinated every year.  The last time he was vaccinated was about 1 1/2
years ago, rabies last year.  He is predominately an indoor cat ...
Perils of Seeing the Vet NOW w/OUT Becoming Informed01 Jun 2005 19:43 GMT86
One of the Marys here pointed out today that I did not respond to some
requests to elaborate on the following (which I posted in response to John
McMaster on May 13):

Phillip's #1 Problem01 Jun 2005 19:35 GMT3
He is old and he is in LA.
Either one is bad enough to make lesser men bitter.
Together they are enough to create a wretch like
Phillip.
My cat has a grave prognosis-Chylothorax (LONG)01 Jun 2005 11:48 GMT60
I haven't felt like posting on here primarily because I don't want
anyone telling me I'm not doing enough for my cat or making me second
guess my decisions.  But, it's a long weekend and I guess I feel like
mentioning it now.  FWIW, I'm in AZ, we have no vet schools here and

Prozac update01 Jun 2005 05:42 GMT13
Well....... I don't want to jinx anything, but it's been over a week
since Carey urinated inappropriately.  Considering she has had to put
up with a 12 week old foster puppy in the house during that time, I
would say she's doing pretty well!  She actually doesn't mind puppies.
Animal Planet: "Animal Precinct"01 Jun 2005 04:12 GMT6
This is a case study in the point I made in an earlier post. Some of
us are hopelessly sentimental about animals, despite the fact that
sometimes things are really difficult. I'm watching a squad trying to
capture a colony of 60 cats resulting from one gal collecting 8 strays

Amy and Emma01 Jun 2005 03:41 GMT8
We got two kittens from the animal shelter about three
years ago. They are sisters and we named them Emma
and Amy.  They chase each other when playing, but
otherwise often sleep together.
