Kitty panting and breathing hard after running04 Jun 2005 17:27 GMT9
When my cat and I play "high speed chase" (where I run a toy on a
string up and down the hall and she chases it), she seems to tire
quickly.  She pants when she lays down.  I've never heard wheezing
although once I could hear her breathing hard.

Walking the cat and shots04 Jun 2005 14:28 GMT3
This cat I have is so weird.  Anyway, my husband and I think she could
adapt well to going for walks outside, so we're going to get her a
harness & leash and try it out.
Does she need more vaccines?  My vet doesn't like to give too many
I captured the Tomcat04 Jun 2005 08:26 GMT53
There is a tomcat who was fighting my Cinder every time I let her into
our backyard. The group consensus was to trap the tomcat and have him
neutered.
Here's the story to date. Read the diary.
gentler way to put a cat down?04 Jun 2005 08:26 GMT60
I'm in a horrible situation - my old boy, who will be 16 in August, is
showing signs of deterioration.  He's got kidney issues and the vet's
given us options that range from thousands of dollars in potential
treatments, to switching to Science Diet k/d - we've done the latter.
Cats eating grass04 Jun 2005 07:59 GMT12
My cat loves to eat grass!  Is there a limit to how much I should let
her have?  The neighborhood kids get a big kick out of feeding her
grass from our lawn through a grille-covered window.

Ping Candace Re Abbey04 Jun 2005 02:26 GMT6
Candace, I'm sorry if you've already posted about this, but my life has been
really hectic lately and I haven't read any updates about Abbey.
How is she doing?  What's the prognosis look like now?  Has she had her
ultrasound/echocardiogram?
Feeding cats Sushi?03 Jun 2005 21:26 GMT10
I've been reading the benefits of feeding cats real meat (which makes
sense, since they're not as omnivorous as dogs). It occured to me that
perhaps a nice treat for our cats would be a little chunk of salmon or
tuna bought at our local Sushi bar.
Interstitial Cystitis: Anti-depressants?03 Jun 2005 20:44 GMT17
Our vet told us about interstitial cystitis being aggravated by
stress. Since Louis continues to be freaked out and occasionally
tagging a door, I'm considering trying the antidepressant he
suggested.

Newbie needs help please03 Jun 2005 13:37 GMT7
Hi,  My cat 'Bean' is 8 years old and was just diagnosed with diabetes.
So far he is on medication.  He seems to be doing very well but I have a
big problem.  Whenever he uses his litter box, the kitty litter is
sticking to his toes.  I have been using Fresh Step for ages and his ...

in here with a question!

Good God - Louis' peeing is out of control02 Jun 2005 21:14 GMT2
Had to keep the basement door closed while we fixed the plumbing
downstairs - that's where the litterboxes are. We brought one
upstairs.
Fixed the plumbing, basement is open, Louis is acting totally psycho.
