Somebody Great--and Local!!-- Wants Conan!30 Jun 2005 23:48 GMT10
I have emailed this information to Monica, but I had to
pass it on here.
Right after I began the "Adopt this Great Cat" thread
I received an email from a gentleman in San Diego who said he might be
Cat Vaccines can Lead to Cancer30 Jun 2005 21:42 GMT7
Did you know that VACCINATIONS, which we get to protect our cats, could
actually lead to CANCER? I had never heard of this until June 2002.
My 8-year-old cat, Jack, was diagnosed with Vaccination-Associated
Sarcoma (VAS) on June 25, 2002. He had rapidly growing tumors on his

Ping Philip re Conan's records30 Jun 2005 20:04 GMT8
Hello Philip,
We have just become aware that Conan was vaccinated for FIV at the shelter
(and all of the cats there are!). I won't go into how angry we are about
this (it is a vaccine that is not recommended, but the deed is done and he
Cat Eating Brocolli Rabe...?30 Jun 2005 16:29 GMT7
with garlic and hot pepper yet!!! I never thought a cat would eat this
but he loves it. Is it OK for them? I didn't think they liked veggies.
car sick???30 Jun 2005 16:18 GMT1
I have a litter of foster kittens that I've had since they were 1 week old.
They were born in a barn to a feral mom. One of the managers there thinks
feline birth control isn't getting mom spayed but to drown the kittens. Mom
unfortunately is trap wise so we had no success ...
rabies vaccination efficacy30 Jun 2005 15:39 GMT2
I just realized that my cat is overdue for his rabies by about 4 months. I'm
having him vaccinated today, but it made me wonder what kind of danger he's
been in.  He kills all sorts of critters, some are unidentifiable (just
giblets) by the time we see them in the yard.  He's ...
Jessie Update30 Jun 2005 04:33 GMT3
LOL.  Well, I think the appetite stimulant, cyproheptadine.  Four weeks ago,
when I got the digital baby scale, Jessie weighed 7.50 lbs.  One of the
reasons I rushed her to the vet was that by Wednesday of last week she was
down to 7.15 lbs.  We started giving her the cyproheptadine ...

Mary S. Provided False Information About Conan30 Jun 2005 02:33 GMT54
I recently started reading this board, and have been following Conan's story!
After reading some of the messages, I became extremely concerned about the
fact that people could justify placing Conan with Charlie Wilkes.  He would
not provide a suitable home for Conan.  Anyone who ...
Tumor (?)on old cat's ear30 Jun 2005 00:29 GMT14
Hi, all,
I've lurked on this group, and once before you all helped me make a
difficult decision.  I think I've already made this one, but would
really appreciate any useful feedback.
Bast Help Me!  ;>29 Jun 2005 23:52 GMT14
OK, I'm trying to be diligent while working from home, it's still early days
and I want to make a good impression and be really productive.
But it's a bit hard to concentrate when a 15+ pound cat insists on getting
in your lap so she can suck her toe and knead on a nice, flabby ...
Help for hairballs29 Jun 2005 22:59 GMT3
My 5 year old cat Lexus throws up quite often.  I just in fact have added
some wet Nutro to his diet which he loves.
The problem I'm having is he has thrown up big hair balls three times in two
weeks.  He is a short haired cat and loves to be brushed which I try to do
Ping Phip P.! (Vaccination Question)29 Jun 2005 18:18 GMT17
It is time for Cheeky's periodic shots, according to the
card I got from her vet.
They say rabies and distemper. It was three years ago that she had the
rabies shot--and I believe it is required by law every three years. Did you

slowly loosing wait last months when hot days come. That weight loss
didn't concern us as he stayed active or somewhat become even more
