We've always had dogs when we had more room but now we're cat people. 6
months ago I stopped by our local animal shelter to donate some food
and ended up adopting a great 1 year old male
named Pete well 3 weeks ago I stopped by Petsmart..A.W.A.L

Mary will be flattered by my survey27 May 2005 16:30 GMT31
Because she's such a tenacious troll, I thought Mary deserved some
research on my part while I'm waiting for my project to compile.
Mary has posted around 1,590 posts since January 1st, 2005.
I've been through around 590 posts (with my extremely clever program
Cat with Dandruff but won't clean herself?27 May 2005 16:29 GMT17
We recently adopted a cat from the local cat rescuer.  We knew she
wasn't a healthy cat - we don't know how old she is, and she has bad
diarrhea unless she takes steroids every day.  Funny shaped - she's got
a big pot belly.  She also has bad dandruff.  However, the woman said
herpes27 May 2005 16:25 GMT4
I have a couple of cats that seem to have herpes.  My vet has prescribed a
drug, Idoxuridine, which I've tried to get locally at two pharmacies (BJs
and Walmart).  Neither had even HEARD of it!
Upon googling I find it is available as Herpex Liquifilm, and is quite
Wet Food Problem....Solved27 May 2005 16:17 GMT1
I am Etherea.
I sweep in on the rear end of the wind.
I spread my knowledge before you like a summer picnic.
It is yours for the taking, but remember to leave enough for others.
Bathroom cat27 May 2005 03:44 GMT4
I have seen the bathroom cat a couple of times now, and today I
watched him in my yard.  He was hunting in an area that had just been
mowed with a sickle-bar, looking fit and happy.  He only nibbles at
the food I put out, because the hunting is so good this time of year.
bed mice27 May 2005 02:31 GMT3
I remember seeing a post a while back about "bed mice", and how cats have
always tried to catch them, but never have been able to actually get one.
My Murphy, who sleeps on the bed with me, will never hunt my feet while I'm
sleeping, but as soon as she thinks I'm awake, she's on ...
Weird Cat Behavior?26 May 2005 19:59 GMT8
We have a young American Shorthair male that was behaving strangely
this morning. He was in my mother's bed with the cover in his mouth,
kneading with his front paws. The cover was sort of bunched up under
him, and he was like humping it, and purring. He's been neutered. There
Did prednisone kill my cat?26 May 2005 16:59 GMT11
We had owned/cherished our cat since it was a couple of weeks old and she
would have been 14yrs old in late August.... 18mths ago she was found to
have higher than "normal" calcium levels in blood. We had
prompted the test as we had noticed she was more frequently drinking.... our
No more Wellness26 May 2005 14:47 GMT37
Wellness is an excellent product and my cats like it BUT OMH has stopped
shipping it.  My store has not been able to get any for several weeks.
Their supplier (P&P) have just started getting shipments and they are
already allocated to stores (not my store however) and say it could ...
Maynard is at peace26 May 2005 01:51 GMT28
Maynard is gone. He died very peacfully and quickly. He was gone before
the injection was done. He just leaned against me and faded away. It
couldn't have gone any better.
He is home now. We are letting all the cats and dogs see him and know

I have a problem. My cat is almost three yrs old. He is scratching my
brand new mattress and licking my toilet paper. I tried to tell him no,
tried to spray him with water and punished him by putting him in the cage.
Doesn't help. Can anyone help?  He is an indoor cat and he has ...
