A Perfect "No-Brainer"16 Apr 2005 19:49 GMT1
But, just needed to let you all know that after getting into all those
changes in my posts thinking I found the remedy for kitties throwin
up,  you all were right.  All it took to relieve  the problem  (except
for an occasional mishap)  was  giving them more of their Lax-o-Stat,
Love Bites?16 Apr 2005 18:46 GMT24
Often when my kitty is lounging on my lap or on the couch with me, if
my hands are near his mouth, he will sniff them an then sort of bite
me, but not hard.
Lately, I have been wimpering out loud when he does it to let him know
Elavil dosage for inappropriate urination16 Apr 2005 18:18 GMT7
Hi all, haven't been here in awhile.  Things had been going alone
swimmingly since last August, when my tortie Carey was put on Elavil
(1/2 tab per day).  Her unearthly yowling ceased, her inappropriate
urination ceased, and all was right with the kitty world.
Jackie's ear - any ideas what is wrong?15 Apr 2005 20:58 GMT11
The poor girl. One thing after another. Last week I noticed that she
was scratching at her right ear, badly enough so that I took her to
the vet. I feared fleas or mites. I might end up regretting that it
wasn't those.

Help! found feral cat and kittens in my garage15 Apr 2005 17:02 GMT80
There are a couple of feral cats that have been hanging around my yard
for a while, one is part siamese, the other an orange cat. I'd been
leaving food out for them as they looked pretty skinny. Anyway,
yesterday I discovered that the siamese cat with three kittens in a
Need Advice on Traveling w/cat15 Apr 2005 14:29 GMT14
Hi, I used to post on this board a while back but I haven't lately.  I have
a dilemma and need advice from others who understand cats.
I have a 2 year old boy Manx ("Gray") who is EXTREMELY attached to me as
Manx's are known to do.  I work at home so he spends 24/7 with me, on my
Raw diet? and dry food ban?15 Apr 2005 13:46 GMT4
I've always free-fed dry stuff and serve various healthy wet stuff
twice a day for all my cats. But my current two main boys (Espy and
Nipsy) are really ignoring the wet stuff and lady Jackie is just about
not eating anything. So I really have two issues here. Jackie has to
Plump Kitten15 Apr 2005 02:54 GMT6
I've just adopted a kitten from the Humane Society. She's bright eyed,
active and in good health. However, from spending time in a cage without
much to do, she's kind of fat. I can feel the fat in the lower abdomen.
She's 9 months old. Should she be eating kitten food or should I ...
2nd opinions15 Apr 2005 01:35 GMT4
Often, in answer to posts, folks will suggest getting a 2nd opinion.
A few questions. What if the 2nd opionion is different than the first? I
still wouldn't know who is correct.
What if the 2nd opinion is the same as the 1st? Should I then get a 3rd,
Fruit yogurt OK for cats?14 Apr 2005 23:48 GMT4
Our 3 y-o Khamun seemed to really like the cherry yogurt on the foil lid
that my girlfriend offered him to lick last night.
Is there any reason that he shouldn't eat yogurt  - in tiny quantities I
suspect as I can't see us ever doing anything other than offering the foil

Hello, fellow cat-appreciating folks.
I hope you will not mind too much if I ask a small favor.  Sorry

somewhat OT:  what is she thinking???14 Apr 2005 20:07 GMT7
Just had a talk with our neighbor, who have an elderly (14yrs) dog named
Tess.  I was letting her know that Tess has been whining and crying and
almost howling a lot when they're not home (she didn't used to).  She's
been sounding terribly distressed, but I thought maybe she was ...
Fish food for cats14 Apr 2005 15:43 GMT21
I feed my cat Wellness, 5.5 oz can. Usually he gobbles it right up, any
flavor.
But this morning, he wasn't interested - I served him half a can of their
"Chicken + Herring". The other half of the can was served the night before,
Cat just diagnosed with Feline Leukemia - info/resources requested14 Apr 2005 15:19 GMT22
We took our 11/2 year-old  male, sweetheart of a cat in to the vet because
he was lethargic, and the vet diagnosed auto-immune anemia. Further testing
showed that he had an 11% red blood cell volume (normal is 35-50%) and is
positive for Feline Leukemia.
