alter the environment slightly?

Only one way though. I was pretty sure that my cats cannot get out of
my backyard due to the fence tops sloping inwards, but they don't try
very hard either. I was not at all sure that a cat cannot get IN my
backyard though. But none had for two years. Until yesterday.

I was putting away my winter coats into the (seldom used) closet under the
stairs earlier today.  A few hours later I noticed Sammy sitting in front of
this closet staring at the door.  I didn't think anything of it and went
about my business.  A little while later I passed by and ...

Just a quick followup. After my son's girlfriend left town, Tiger's
