Declaw the Humans, not the cats20 Apr 2005 06:35 GMT11
Why mutilate cats so that they fit into a human environment? Why not just
alter the environment slightly?
I have a 6 x 9 sisal rug that Sweetums can tear to her heart's content. If
she barfs on it, it's easy to clean up..and the fibers absorb the rest. If

"Allergy-proofing" apt for boyfriend20 Apr 2005 03:00 GMT6
My new boyfriend is allergic to cats. I have two of the little darlins.
As silly as it is to say, we're getting tired of hanging out at his
place all the time. He wants to come over but we're both afraid after
ten minutes he'll start sneezing, etc, and it'll be a disaster.

They get up there without help or encouragement.

another aggressive cat19 Apr 2005 22:39 GMT2
Third cat in the house. Indoor outdoor cats. The third cat will chase
the others until the only option is to wait by the door to be let out.
Sometimes the other two don't even get time to eat. The third cat has
been in the house about five months now. They are all neutered
Pondering the worst decision about Jackie19 Apr 2005 21:52 GMT11
She isn't leaking any more. That's the good news. Very good news if
there were no other problems.
But she is really drooling and I've seen her tongue sticking out of
her mouth. That's bad. Most likely something going on in her toothless

Speak your cats language.
If the cat takes a swing at you...
take one at him.
Evidently its the language he speaks...
water?19 Apr 2005 14:52 GMT8
My cat Piper is just over 1 yr old and shes been drinking
lots of water in the last day.  I keep a small dish near her
food which she tends to ignore and a short but wide glass in the upstairs
bath.  This morning the glass was only about 1/4 full while

I think I've found a way to send pictures without a web site.  Here is a

Cat proof backyard indeed!19 Apr 2005 00:24 GMT10
Only one way though. I was pretty sure that my cats cannot get out of
my backyard due to the fence tops sloping inwards, but they don't try
very hard either. I was not at all sure that a cat cannot get IN my
backyard though. But none had for two years. Until yesterday.
Rescue Cat19 Apr 2005 00:18 GMT19
I was putting away my winter coats into the (seldom used) closet under the
stairs earlier today.  A few hours later I noticed Sammy sitting in front of
this closet staring at the door.  I didn't think anything of it and went
about my business.  A little while later I passed by and ...
Re: Tiger's Conjunctivitis.. yes, cats can be allergic to humans..18 Apr 2005 23:41 GMT1
Just a quick followup. After my son's girlfriend left town, Tiger's
eyes cleared right up.
Next time she visits, we'll take a little inventory of her various
cremes, rinses and shampoos.
Cat trapping disaster18 Apr 2005 23:17 GMT7
The pregnant cat showed up right after I set the trap.  I watched her
inspect it and approach the bait, nearly tripping the lever a couple
of times but backing off.   Then something startled her, causing her
to back out abruptly at an angle, jostling the trap enough to spring
