Glucosamine for Arthritis/Broken Joints23 Apr 2005 23:31 GMT7
Sunday I became the proud foster parent of a 1-2 year old male with a broken
(but mending) hind leg. The caretaker of this cat (among many rescue cats;
she founded an organization) said she believes cats with broken bones have a
propensity to develop arthritis, and she wanted to put ...
Louis will be speaking soon23 Apr 2005 20:19 GMT8
Well, he's so happy since Henry left. He's becoming much more
affectionate and goofy.
Today, he ran out into the living room sideways, with his ropey tail
all bushy, and plopped down onto his back. He layed there for a a bit
My cat was on TV!23 Apr 2005 05:21 GMT8
My cat NewCat got to be a demo cat for our shelter's local cable show that
probably about 3 people watch.  She gets to show how to clip nails, clean
teeth and ears.
The clip is a bit long,  8 minutes I think, so the file probably takes a
Need advice on first aid for cuts22 Apr 2005 23:43 GMT40
In trying to cut out severe hair mats from my longhaired cat on
Saturday, even though I thought I had safely inserted a comb under the
mat, I ended up snipping out a chunk of his skin smaller than a dime.
I'm pretty certain it was only the first layer (the hide), and it did

Which is better - can or dry food?22 Apr 2005 21:08 GMT10
My name is Mimi, I live in Maryland. :)
My mom feeds Mittens a can of friskys every day. But my friend Stephanie
feeds her cat Meow Mix. Both cats are about 5 years old.
I think the canned is better, but Stephanie doesn't like the smell! So

The vet found that he had a heart murmur, this evening. It wasn't
there in August. It's there now. My wife had tears in her eyes as
the vet was telling us and, honestly, I wasn't far away from tears
Sammy's too big...22 Apr 2005 18:08 GMT34
for her bed!
Health:  She certainly is a healthy girl!
Behavior:  *WHY* does she insist in sleeping in a bed two sizes too small
for her.  We have 6 other cat beds in the house, at least 4 of which would
Catnip?22 Apr 2005 17:38 GMT11
How much catnip is too much? I have catnip growing in my front flower
bed and Taz adores it. He is an indoor cat so only gets what I give him
and what he steals from Niki.  But he begs for it several times a day. I
only give him a little 3 or 4 times a week.
5 x 8 carpet stuck to a 5 x 8 piece of wood?22 Apr 2005 14:30 GMT2
Has anyone tried putting a 5 x 8 piece of carpet on a 5 x 8 piece of
plywood/whatever and then just leaning it up against the wall?
Karen said she put carpet pieces on her wall, so I guess using a
board leaned up against a wall might work too. Maybe with a platform
