70 Cats - Oh My25 Apr 2005 17:10 GMT22
I worked with a lady, she stood there and told me
she had no less than 70 (seventy and no dollars) CATS.
I start prying into this phenomenon...and
she knew thier names, thier medicines..and so on...
Unfolding Feral Cat Drama25 Apr 2005 16:19 GMT38
I trapped the cat per Megan's advice; she was right about hunger
overcoming caution.
I couldn't get a good look at the cat in the trap because she was
crouching.  So, I went under my trailer and ripped out a bunch of
the lonnnnnnng wait25 Apr 2005 12:55 GMT4
I HATE waiting for vets to call with results, thoughts, diagnoses.
But that's what I'm doing today, pacing and waiting.  I dropped Carey
off this morning so they could fit her in during the day (all appts
booked), and now it's the waiting game.
fur breaking under collar25 Apr 2005 11:50 GMT8
I'm so glad I found this newsgroup.
I've had cats all my life, and know a fair bit about them, but this
problem has me puzzled.
My husband and I just adoped a new cat from a local rescue organization

Its about the 7th Post down the page.
Worth reading sure, but that cat body does not have a conciousness;
whereas most people appreciate the cats willingness to participate out

Sorry - I didn't mean to upset anyone with the pics, I hate the gun

was so sweet.   I won't post anymore pics.

Authority canned food - opinions?24 Apr 2005 18:18 GMT22
Not looking to start another food war, just looking for opinions.
Authority is the Petsmart store brand, right?  I was doing my cat supply
shopping today, and I thought I would look at the ingredients of some foods
just for the hell of it.  Authority actually looks pretty good.  I ...
Re; kitty being held up by gun24 Apr 2005 16:33 GMT9
Apparently in the original photo it was a feather, not a gun, and the
kitten was about to attack it!  That's more like it..
clumping litter disposal24 Apr 2005 14:54 GMT29
I have been using 1 gallon ziplock plastic bags for years to put
clumps of litter in before taking the whole bag to the trash.
Recently, I noticed what might be an easier way to do things.
... cut the top off of a litter container so that you have like a
CRF/Kidney Transplant24 Apr 2005 12:36 GMT4
One of my kitties, Tribble, was diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with CRF.
She had lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time, which is what
precipitated a vet visit.  Blood tests showed her BUN to be 64 and her
creatinine 5.3.  For now, we're trying to manage this through diet.  ...
P-ing Megan (zuzu)24 Apr 2005 07:49 GMT7
Hey Megan,
I was wondering if you had heard anything about "Mr. Mistopheles"?  I
thought about him the other day...  I'm sure there are still a few of
us around who remember that story. :)  Any updates?
Old Cat questions23 Apr 2005 23:34 GMT7
My dad's cat is at least 16 years old.  He doesn't seem to be in any
distress but all the hair on his belly fell out, and the skin on his
lower abdomen is droopy (maybe he needs a little kitty truss).  And he
seems to be a little on the thin side.
