Scottie the sprayer03 Apr 2005 01:26 GMT6
A little over a year ago, we had 3 cats, Cory, Scottie, and Abbey.
Then on 3/27/04, Cory went to the RB at age 18.  We then had Scottie, a
feral 7 year old, and Abbey, 3.  All neutered or spayed, of course, and
totally indoor cats.
Buddha's New Diet02 Apr 2005 23:57 GMT6
My hyperthyroid cat is nevertheless very fat. Given her
risk of diabetes, and with Phil's recent post regarding a canned-only diet
as one that can prevent and even help to correct diabetes, she now gets no
dry food (even treats) and two three-ounce cans of food per day. This is day

My asthmatic and allergic little tabby was sneezing a lot and showing signs
that her nose was sore (e.g. snarling and stiffening if we went anywhere
near it while petting her.)
Just an FYI: the vet told me to give her Chlortrimeton (that is the brand

Outdoor house for indoor cat?02 Apr 2005 04:17 GMT10
Years ago,  maybe 10,  there was a product that one of our neighbors
had.  It was basicly a screenhouse for cats.   It was a small version
of a screen house and you could put it outside on your patio or deck
and put your cat in it,  under close supervision of course.  We have an
Is it OK to give pumpkin every day?01 Apr 2005 23:49 GMT9
My cat loves it mixed in his food.  I give him about a 1 1/2 tspn.  Is
that OK to give him every day?

I have one indoor only cat (7 y/o) that is healthy and is in the
process of getting updated on his FVRCP vaccination. But, I've decide
to bring in a few very friendly strays (11 months old) that were
abandoned. They're in the process of getting their vaccinations,

My kitties are the best of friends.  I just have to post this here
because I've never seen two kitties care for each other like these two.
(Proud mom, eh?)  They play together, wash each other, sleep together
and follow me around together.  They have never hissed.  Never!  At
New cat question & weight question01 Apr 2005 08:23 GMT6
Hi all.  I am finally getting a new cat on Sunday from a shelter.  I took my
Randi to the vet for shots yesterday.  They said he is
too fat - 15.75 lbs!  And that he has a very slight heart murmur, which is
more reason to make him lose some weight.

Veterinary Dermatology01 Apr 2005 02:12 GMT7
A friend of mine took her dog to a vet dermatologist today and got
a diagnosis on the first visit. Among many diagnostic tests done, a
fur culture turned up positive for a bacterial infection (which
wasn't even done during all of Shamrock's diagnostics, and I never
