| Tiger has a wonderful tail | 18 Mar 2005 03:44 GMT | 3 |
I was in the kitchen for a cigarette break and Tiger came up from the basement to visit me. He was hunkered down, sniffing the floor, and then I called him. His tail shot up like a big balloon and he came over to "cheek" my leg.

| Cats and Milk Digestion. | 18 Mar 2005 02:19 GMT | 20 |
Some of you may recall me asking a couple of months ago how to fatten up a scrawny kitten. Well, I've done it. Cream and bits of cheese. He loved the cream so much and wanted to continue on with it (while I don't want to make him OBESE) that I started buying cat-milk. I didn't

| Asking for discounts - inappropriate? | 18 Mar 2005 02:16 GMT | 11 |
Is it inappropriate to ask a veterinarian for a discount on vaccinations/treatments for multiple (3-4) cats? Without a discount it's going to cost $390-$500. All but one of these cats are strays. I was told that this vet hospital doesn't give discounts although

I'm new to this board and need a "support system" to help me deal with issues with my kitty. Elvis is 13 years old. I found him when he was about 1 yr old. In January, I noticed he had swelling on the right side of his face. Took him to vet...to make a short story, I took him to ...

| Other options to Hill's C/D prescription diet | 17 Mar 2005 20:48 GMT | 8 |
My cat just went through surgery to unblock his urinary tract. They sent him home with the Hill's C/D food and he does not like it. Does anyone know of any other food that is similar to this C/D diet? I need to try something else for him...does Iam's have a similar product out

| Post-Kitty life...visiting shelters...adopt a Blind Cat? | 17 Mar 2005 19:01 GMT | 16 |
Hi...Well, Monday night I went out to the shelter...I always used to go when I was sad about anything - petting the dogs and kitties always cheered me up. I wasn't looking to adopt - the thought of a cat running around in Kitty's place was too strange!

| new cat(s)? | 17 Mar 2005 16:52 GMT | 12 |
I'm going to look at a shelter for a new kitty. I've been looking on petfinder.org the last couple days. This guy looks ALOT like Elvis. He has to be tested for the nasty diseases and they said they aren't even sure if he's neutered. But I'll take care of all that. Randi is ...

| Cat not eating well... | 17 Mar 2005 16:46 GMT | 2 |
My cat is male, 3 years old...he doesn't eat much. Are there any foods that cats just love to eat? I tried Wellness canned, but he recoils from it. Whiskas is OK, he licks the sauce. Fancy Feast doesn't get much of a reaction.

| Mystery of the non-pooping cat | 17 Mar 2005 08:39 GMT | 16 |
I'm stumped. I adopted a five year old cat a nine days ago. In all the time he's been here I've found a very small amount of poop in his litter box once. Since then nothing. Four days after getting him I took him to the vet for a general

| Skinny cat not hyperthyroid...?Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency? | 17 Mar 2005 07:56 GMT | 5 |
Updating on my "elderly" (well, he's 9.5 years) Balinese boy. Fructosamine came back in the "stressed" rather than diabetic range. T4 came back at plum in the middle of the normal range. The vet said next we should take a stool sample and send it off to see if he's

| Somebody needs help... | 17 Mar 2005 07:47 GMT | 1 |
I found this on another alt. discuss animal group without much response. I know some of you here work in shelters and maybe you could help this guy out?? It's pretty heartbreaking: Here in Harlan Kentucky, the animal shelter is awful. There is no

| Sorry - one more cute cat recollection.. | 17 Mar 2005 04:27 GMT | 3 |
When Abbey died, we knew that Tiger would be lonely. He was a farm-cat with a lot of energy, who always tried to play with our other cats, but was rebuffed. So we made the decision to buy a purebreed cat whose reputed

| Is this true? | 17 Mar 2005 03:18 GMT | 14 |
I read this on another newsgroup. Someone said cats continue to go into heat every three weeks while they are pregnant, and conceive another litter. I've never fostered a pg momma cat, the ones I've had already gave birth. My fellow fosterers say that pg cats get cranky, but no ...

| The Dry Food wars | 17 Mar 2005 01:06 GMT | 1 |
This is just a funny little story and will hopefully get a few other funny little stories about our fur babies and their food. We feed Delilah and Stella wet food for their meals each day and a bowl of dry food overnight. During the day, the dry food dishes (2) are kept in a

| ? for those with former ferals | 17 Mar 2005 01:05 GMT | 12 |
Antonio started doing this thing a few months ago. If I'm standing in one spot for a while, he will let out his little squeaky meow, and put his front paws up on my legs. It's as if he wants attention, but he's still wary of petting. If I go to pet him, he swats. I can only ...
