| Home Remedies for Cats | 21 Mar 2005 20:46 GMT | 4 |
Received this with other stuff in my mailbox today: Eliminate ear mites... All it takes is a few drops of Wesson corn oil in your cat's ear. Massage it in, then clean with a cotton ball. Repeat daily for 3 days. The oil soothes the cat's skin, smothers the mites, and

| The Nerf deterrent? | 21 Mar 2005 19:35 GMT | 3 |
Getting my cat's attention is our favorite trick. In the archives, I see one mention of Nerf balls being used to play fetch. Has anyone else messed around with Nerf balls as a toy or method to get your cat's attention? Any experiences with Nerf balls or other Nerf

| Two weeks and still a bit scared.... | 21 Mar 2005 19:13 GMT | 12 |
As you may recall - my husband and I adopted kitkat 2 weeks ago. He was rescued from a abusive home. He is doing really well - basically roams the house - but will still not come into the family room if we are in there. He will only allow me to pet him or play with him in his

| HEART MURMUR | 21 Mar 2005 15:17 GMT | 31 |
One of my cats, MAGI, was diagnosed by the vet today as having a "slight heart murmur". She was there to be checked over as she was in the end phases of having a 'cat cold'.

| Odd Cat habits | 21 Mar 2005 14:58 GMT | 11 |
My cat likes to lick my hair. When I'm lying in bed, he curls up against my head and starts licking my hair - like he's grooming it. I've seen cats do this to other cats, but this is the first interspecies grooming incident I've heard of. What is the meaning of this? Is he being ...

| Hills Science Diet vs. Nutro vs. Wellness | 21 Mar 2005 04:18 GMT | 9 |
Is Science Diet better than all other brands? There were some catty posts regarding that. Don't want to start another fight..Cat has not been eating well, so I bought Nutro Gourmet dry - hopefully he'll like that. He just ignored Iams Original - it might as well have been sand.

| Better Food For Cats | 21 Mar 2005 02:35 GMT | 21 |
After Icarus' bout with a UTI, I decided to change to a food that all the cats can eat. Does anyone know of a relatively decent dry food at a good price which actually has meat in it? I checked out Maxximum which has chicken in it along with the normal ingredients that a lot of ...

| Bloated belly - cause?!? | 20 Mar 2005 22:50 GMT | 3 |
Okay so Oscar was a stray that my clinic took in 4 weeks ago, and now he has been at our new house for a week. During his stay at the vet, he has had THREE fecal flotations done, all of which came up negative.

| Bandit Seems Better | 20 Mar 2005 19:52 GMT | 3 |
Friday night she was in a lot of pain, purring *really* loudly and trembling, and then crying in the middle of the night, even giving her the pain pills every 6 hours. So we picked up some stronger pain medication yesterday morning, Buprenorphine HCI, which is given sublingually ...

| Taking pills | 20 Mar 2005 19:42 GMT | 4 |
I am pleased to report that I was able to give my cat two tape worm pills, without it being a traumatic experience for either of us! Never had a cat, until three years ago when I got this guy. Ken

| Miss Finicky loves Peanut Butter | 20 Mar 2005 18:05 GMT | 1 |
Which is sort of strange. The only other "people" food Meep will even consider touching is parmesan cheese (and tuna. But not chicken or any other meat). And now peanut butter. To the point that a few minutes after offering a taste, she was caught stalking the remains of the

| Best flea killer? | 20 Mar 2005 10:09 GMT | 6 |
I have a male cat, Speedy, about 4 1/2 years old. He deveoped a flea bite allergy about 1 1/2 years ago. The sratching and overgrooming left bald areas on his legs and under his tail. Vet gave Speedy an injection of a steroid for the itching and said to

| Ohmygawd - AGAIN!!! | 20 Mar 2005 09:58 GMT | 23 |
I'm a wreck, I'm a total wreck! My hands are shaking so badly that when I was getting a saucer down to give Bandit some mineral oil in tuna water, as per doctor's instructions for the constipation, I dropped it - shattered it - and cut up my finger all to h*ll!

| Cat bed that removes loose hair? | 20 Mar 2005 06:14 GMT | 11 |
I don't mean all the hair. Is there a commercial cat bed that helps remove loose cat hair? Do you know of a home made device? What is the most likely fabric, mat, pillow, or whatever resting place
