Turn up the volume and list to the slurping, smacking and purring.
What is going on under all that fur?   ;)
Cat Peeing Problem!25 Mar 2005 17:32 GMT4
Ok, so I have three cats maybe six or seven months old. They've been
using the litter box with almost no problems for quite some time now.
During the past week one or more of the cats have been using the small
area of carpet behind my recliner. How can I teach them this is bad?
Urination - Help! for Depressed Owner25 Mar 2005 17:25 GMT27
I am depressed and in need of advice about a urinating cat!
I adopted a male neutered Balinese/Siamese mix a year ago.  He is now
about 3 years old.  The reason he was given up was because "the
boyfriend didn't like cats."
disposing of stray cats?25 Mar 2005 16:53 GMT29
Getting right to the point. In the context of the typical United
States big-city which runs a kill type animal shelter. If you noticed
a sick or injured cat in your neighborhood. Which in your opinion
would be the lesser of two evils.

Facts: Golden Retriever, 11 years old
Large (size of a baseball) tumor on her spleen, and she's hardly eating
at all. Vet says x-ray shows "something" on liver, most likely cancer
Really likes his scratches25 Mar 2005 09:50 GMT13
My cat does something odd that someone here might be able to explain.
When I scratch him on the back near his tail, he will in short order tilt his
head to one side, cock his chin up a bit, then start seemingly lapping the air
with his tongue.
Possible CRF diagnosis25 Mar 2005 03:32 GMT5
My sister's cat had a feeding tube inserted yesterday, awaiting definitive
diagnosis on what looks like CRF.  Here're my questions:
How long can a cat's quality of life be maintained after CRF diagnosis?
(She is 8yo)
Cat Napper?25 Mar 2005 02:04 GMT20
Is the Cat Napper the window perch that can be velcroed onto the
sill (in addition to having the legs against the wall)?  If not,
which perch is it that has the velcro strips?  I want to get Mingy
a birthday present, and I was thinking of giving him a perch in my
licking plastic!24 Mar 2005 23:48 GMT59
I have three cats, and all of them like to lick plastic bags. One of them
likes to chew the plastic too. Anyone else have a cat like this? Also, does
anyone think this is dangerous in any way?

Do cats really know "no?"24 Mar 2005 20:27 GMT46
I'm wondering if you can really teach a cat "no."  I mean by "no" that
they have to stop what they're doing, shut up and sit down.  Kami
responds to "no" as in "oh, okay, I don't really have to chew the power
cord," or "all right, it's not that important to me to drink out of the ...
Tail problem24 Mar 2005 17:51 GMT21
First, please don't look at the pictures if you have a weak stomach.
Bear has a problem with his tail.
He's already seen a vet, she said the tip of the tail is dead and that
it will fall off on it's own, but if it gets infected, or there is any
Cat Urine24 Mar 2005 13:45 GMT5
Any suggestions to get rid of, I have tried just about everything but
am willing to listen to any advice.
jasper is a porky pig!!24 Mar 2005 05:06 GMT15
Had to take the fuzzy butt to the vet today. That claw (or lack of) is
still bleeding from time to time so I wanted it looked at. He was
actually a good boy while there. He only hissed twice! Didn't even try
to bite or freak out, though he did cry in the carrier on the way. But
Vet in Mississauga24 Mar 2005 02:00 GMT8
I just move to Mississauga, Ont. Can anybody recommend a good veterinarian
in Mississauga or Etobicoke for my elderly cat?

eye ooze24 Mar 2005 00:39 GMT6
I have a 2-year-old black cat who has a light yellow ooze coming out of
both eyes.  I first thought it might be sleep in his eyes but it looks like
there it too much to be sleep.  One eye was shut and the other is not quite
open all the way.  I wiped his eyes with a damp, warm cloth ...
