I will miss Felix RIP 2/28/502 Mar 2005 07:11 GMT17
This morning I went out side and found my cat Felix had been hit by a
car. He was by best bud, I nursed him since he was a 10 day old kitten.
He slept with me every night and always wanted to be in my lap while
doing my daily routine. The weird thing is "someone" removed his ID ...
vaccinations and boosters02 Mar 2005 04:16 GMT1
I've got a questions about vaccinations and boosters.
When I took Jay Jay in for the diarrhea problem, the vet looked at my
records from the shelter (handwritten, copied from the records the
shelter lady had).
What exactly is a high-quality diet?02 Mar 2005 01:15 GMT9
Everything I've read about caring for healthy FeLV+ cats says to feed
them a "high quality diet" to help prolong their lives.  Fair enough,
but none of the resources actually defines the term "high quality
diet"; my vet didn't even offer any specific advice.
Worried Mum01 Mar 2005 22:55 GMT12
Hi everyone, I'm new to posting so please be gentle with me.
We adopted Milly from the RSPCA in November and she is going to be spayed on
Tuesday.  She's 6 months old and (I know I am biased) she's gorgeous!
I'm really worried about the op.  It's like when my daughter went on her
Why doesn't somebody invent....01 Mar 2005 19:43 GMT20
a flavored water for cats?  There are *SO* many cats out there with CRF and
other kidney or bladder dysfunction.  My cats will lap up the water from a
can of tuna in a heartbeat, so why hasn't somebody invented flavored water
that would encourage cats to drink a lot?

How can I discourage my cat from going outside?01 Mar 2005 09:30 GMT18
We have a large (110lb) dog who goes outside to do his business via a
dog door.  We recently adopted a cat who is 100% wonderful *except* he
goes out the dog door and has gotten lost (missing for 3 days) on
occaision.  Does anyone have any tips/tricks for discouraging a young
Very slightly OT01 Mar 2005 07:48 GMT10
After transporting Chloe (cat) to the Vet I have discovered that our car
(Citroen C3) has a passenger airbag which can be temporarily disabled as
when using a baby seat on the front passsenger seat. Other cars have this
system. The carry box is restrained with the seatbelt.
Post-spaying discomfort01 Mar 2005 06:03 GMT5
We took Dharma to the vet for spaying on Friday morning and she stayed
overnight. We picked her up on Saturday afternoon and were instructed to
keep the Victorian collar on her for 14 days until the stitches are
removed along with administering the antibiotics/pain meds. She's ...
Quartizone Kitty01 Mar 2005 05:58 GMT4

Kitty didn't eat much last week..She had a biopsy on Wednesday..I get the
results on Monday..I'm pretty sure it's cancer.

Determined escape artist...  and his brother.01 Mar 2005 00:34 GMT9
One of our two recently-adopted (semi-) feral cats is adapting pretty
well; the other is not.
Dirigible will hide any time he hears us coming, but he eats and uses
the litter box, so we weren't too worried; it's only been a week after
New arrival w/ eating issues01 Mar 2005 00:34 GMT2
I've recently become owned by a rescued seven-year-old neutered female that
I've named PK, for "pretty kitty."
She's just a love and has made herself very much at home. I had her checked
by my vet the day I brought her home from the shelter, and she is just fine.
