Is there a real vet in this group?04 Mar 2005 15:24 GMT79
Just wondering if there was a real pet vet
in here.. or.. are you all just playing doctor?
And as far as *this* group goes... I think
some of you are pretty cool.. but most of
FurFace Is Gone04 Mar 2005 12:07 GMT14
Furface passed away at about 3:55 EST this afternoon.
He was a a good companion for over 14 years.  I can't believe how much
I miss him already.  I plan to bury him in the morning. I am going to
put him beside the patio.  He loved to sit on a chair there in the
New Cat likes blistex lip balm and when does a male cats testicles "drop"?04 Mar 2005 04:12 GMT11
First off, I would like to say that I am new here, and after spending hours
and hours on the net, I have not found an answer to either of my questions.
First question is: At what age do a male cats' testicles "drop"?  Long
story, but basically I am new to cats, and would like to ...
Howard's Story04 Mar 2005 03:42 GMT1
A cat adopted from the streets, Howard was in poor shape. One ear had
been destroyed by mites, he had a raging infection on his neck which
threatened his life. His former owners cast him out for spraying, not
realizing that neutering would help.
Fungus Problem - Need Help!04 Mar 2005 02:11 GMT7
Our orange tabby cat, Buster, has had a recurring fungus problem, which
is getting worse and not been able to be cured.  The fungus is in his
paws.  It is black, crusty and Buster tries to lick it, dropping pieces
of the fungus.  It is not life-threatening but seems to be painful.
Question about a vax04 Mar 2005 01:37 GMT13
Hi all.  This is probably a stupid question for some of you who know
drugs and interactions, reactions but I thought I'd ask. Shamrock has
an appt tomorrow night for his FeLV booster (necessary living with a
FeLV+ cat) and he's due for a dental but I'm not scheduling them

eating habits--oh yippee!03 Mar 2005 23:05 GMT4
Well, it's been a bit over a month sincy Mingy was hospitalized
amd found to have struvite crystals.  Since then, I have been
trying to get him to eat wet food, and I have not been too
successful.  In fact, I have been close to despair about that and
Baby Kittens found.03 Mar 2005 22:56 GMT6
This makes me sick. I cannot fathom the mind of the bastards that did this.
A question though... I wonder about the mother of the kittens. Wouldn't she
NEED to nurse? Wouldn't she fret over the loss of kittens so young their
eyes were not even open?
Cat Addiction: Chapter 19903 Mar 2005 18:04 GMT7
One of the many definitions of addiction is "doing things repeatedly
that are known to cause you pain". Like adopting new cats...
So we adopted Henry the pitiful stray, expecting him to be integrated
into our menagerie. This didn't work, so we've been looking for a new
Cat Poem03 Mar 2005 08:51 GMT22
There once was a cat named 'Elvis'
He could dance and wiggle his pelvis.
But then one day, his eyes turned gray
Ah sh.t.. I can't think of two words like 'Elvis'.
Cat ate string story....03 Mar 2005 01:39 GMT11
My male neutered cat "The Neek" ate a Yoyo string of about 5 feet (1.6
meters) in length that a friend had left lying around. The cat loves
eating strings so we usually are very careful but accidents do happen
and my friend wasn't aware of my cats predisposition to string eating.
Kitty Chemo03 Mar 2005 01:01 GMT7
My Kitty had a sonogram, they found 1.5cm mass in her liver..She had a
biopsy - but the sample came back as "necrotic material" - in other words -
dead cells. The vet said that it could be cancer, with the dead cells
around it.
Raw Diet Questions02 Mar 2005 14:00 GMT3
I've let my cats try a raw diet food that I got from our local pet food
store a few times and they seem to really like it. And in the case of
raw food, a little goes a long way. Half a packet each and they were gorged.
Anyhow, my 3 year-old calico (the same toe biter as my last ...
Questions about the Cat Dancer02 Mar 2005 11:12 GMT9
The Cat Dancer is a very popular toy in this group, in case anyone
doesn't already know.
Has anyone's cat lost interest in the cat dancer before it wore out?
I just bought some. My male cat Kitty played with one immediately and
