Cat's Eye Draining...Vet stumped07 Mar 2005 18:57 GMT6
About a month ago my 3 yr old kitten (who is inside) got a little too
playful with his brothers.  I noticed that night that it looked like a
little scratch at the inner eye (right where the eye comes to a point.  I
cleaned it up and it stopped bleeding. I thought all would be well.  ...
Sorry - just venting (Was: adopting a stray)07 Mar 2005 18:25 GMT6
Sometimes usenet just seems like a big canyon I can holler into in
frustration.. I forget sometimes that there's folks inside getting
hollered toward..
I'm not doing anything rash. I'd been awake for about 30 hours when I
Crying "meowing" all Night07 Mar 2005 17:02 GMT17
Yesterday we adopted a 9 month old neutered male kittne/cat (not sure
of the breed) from a petstore that hosts local shelters in the store.
We setup a spare bed room (actually an empty room) with a bed, litter
box, toy and his food and water. We brought him home in a crate and he

Cat Has Bad Aim at the Litter Tray07 Mar 2005 12:20 GMT7
I adopted a tortie from the cat shelter a week ago.  She's settled in
fine and seems very happy.
When she uses the litter tray to poop, she seems to prefer to sit in one
half of the tray and point her rear at the edge. This means most of it

extra large litterbox liners?07 Mar 2005 02:22 GMT5
I'm looking for sume super jumbo litterbox liners.
The largest I have found are 36" long, and that's a tad too short for
the box I am using. I have been able to make them work with duct tape,
but I would rather finda better liner.
Shamrock and shrill noises06 Mar 2005 23:15 GMT17
Shamrock is the cat who at age 3-1/2 years now has always had skin
problems that are only eased with steroid shots (Depo). It's still
not clear what his trigger is, but it's starting to seem even more
idiopathic and emotional. However, the Depo does help, so there
Tried window perchs?06 Mar 2005 22:45 GMT26
I would like to get a perch for her Highness to look out the back
window of our house. She has many options for the front but there is
only one window that would be possible for backyard viewing and it's in
the small dining area.
Another Round Of UTI06 Mar 2005 22:17 GMT51
It looks like Icarus' UTI is back. I saw the vet today to see if I can get a
stronger antibiotic and was given a prescription for a different one that
hopefull will do the trick. He'll have to go back to the vet in a couple of
weeks and be given another urine test. Let's hope ...
Odd Sleeping Behavior06 Mar 2005 19:09 GMT4
Although Kami has adapted extraorinarily well to the new temporary
digs, her sleeping habits have changed.  I have her fleecy bed on the
sofa and her teepee on the bed, but at night, she sleeps on the floor.
I only found this out by stepping on her getting up in the middle of

No, she's not a kitten - hasn't been for two years.

She's a nutcase!! :)
Kitten age and behavior question06 Mar 2005 02:57 GMT6
It's been a long time since I last had a kitten-1982 to be exact.  Back
in Dec. I adopted an 8 week old male kitten from the shelter.  Now he
is about 5 months old, and has just been neutered.  Charley is very
sociable and an all around well-adjusted little guy.  No matter what
Cat buyers make extreme claims and confuse the heck out of me. HELP!06 Mar 2005 00:52 GMT8
I hope someone from this forum can give me some info ASAP. I run a small
cattery and I recently sold a kitten to some people who came in from out of
state (they put the kitten on reserve). Anyway, they came and took the
kitten (under some additionally odd circumstances) and several ...
