Bandit Update - Good News!10 Mar 2005 02:53 GMT4
I've had word from Bandit's vet that she came through the surgery just fine.
The necrotic tissue did not even go all the way through the skin, the
subcutaneous lay of skin was unaffected and there was good vascular flow
through the area.  She was able to remove it all except for ...
Something to worry about?09 Mar 2005 21:44 GMT1
Recently, I'd noticed Meep (an 8 year old DSH) licking her lips a lot,
which prompted a vet visit.  Vet mentioned there's a tooth with a red
line which might need to be extracted eventually, but nothing to worry
about yet.  She chews on that side of her mouth, and hasn't shown ...
Balding cat09 Mar 2005 21:36 GMT10
Who has a balding cat, every winter our Floss washes and washes until
she has no fur left. She looks so sad. I have heard she may have
climate change stress, anyone heard of this.

I think we've figured it out (was: adopting stray and 1000 other late-night rants)09 Mar 2005 17:16 GMT17
I still feel badly about going off last night. I know you folks who
take the time to read a lot of these posts love cats, and I'm sure
anyone who knows my story must have been shocked. It was just a vent,
almost  and though I'm just a cyber-denizen to most of you, I

Hyperthyroidism v. kidney failure09 Mar 2005 16:30 GMT8
Last January I posted regarding our almost-16 years old cat, Toby,
being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism.  His T4 reading was 287 at that
time, his weight had dropped from 6kg to 3.5kg and his appetite was
poor.
Sapphire is sick09 Mar 2005 16:30 GMT11
Poor Sapphire is at the vet waiting for her sonogram.  She seems so suddenly
sick.  Yesterday I brought her in to the vet because she was walking away
before finishing her food and I could feel her back bone.  She wasn't anemic
or dehydrated but had a few high numbers with her blood ...
kitten won't eat09 Mar 2005 14:50 GMT1
Hi,  I also posted this on a.c.
I've just got a new kitten who's 10 weeks old and really cute. Yesterday
was his first day at home and he was extremely loath to eat anything in
the morning and seemed really lethargic.  In the afternoon however he

Starving Kitty...END OF THE ROAD - Last Chapter..09 Mar 2005 11:26 GMT31
Well, Kitty really went downhill yesterday, Saturday...in the A.M. her left
leg gave out..she was limping. Took her to the vet for her quartizone shot..
He watched her walk around, now she was more flat-footed. He said it was
all related to the liver tumor, said that it was ...
Any suggestions..09 Mar 2005 11:25 GMT4
We adopted our 9 month old kitten on Saturday.  We are making leaps and
bounds with the socialization.  He now lets us pet him when he is in
his little house - but does not let us hold him.  He is just starting
to come out of his house (a very little bit) when we are in the room.
Old Cat09 Mar 2005 11:22 GMT11
Our cat is almost 21 years old and has always been in good health. She
is now showing signs of age, being less agile when jumping up to my lap
and she has some tremor, her head shakes sometimes. She also sleeps a
lot more than usual.
Henry finds a new home? (long.. is anyone on a dialup anymore?)09 Mar 2005 10:17 GMT2
On Thursday, I'll be bringing Henry to his "foster parents".
We cuddled for a half hour on the couch tonight, and he got an
extra-long session in our bedroom/quarantine with my wife and myself.
As if to piss me off, as I was bringing Henry downstairs to do his
