toys: hanging something from the ceiling?11 Mar 2005 11:17 GMT70
Looking for experiences.
Have you ever hung anything from the ceiling for your cat to play with?
How did it go? Is it still available? How is it going?
Have you ever hung anything from the ceiling substantial enough so that
A couple of problems11 Mar 2005 04:53 GMT3
I picked up a cat from the shelter a couple of days ago. She is about 2-3
and was a stray. I put a litter box in the bathroom and immediately showed
it to her. For the first day she did not go at all. Thinking that it was
just nerves I forgot about it and went to bed (mistakenly ...
FVRCP booster needed?11 Mar 2005 02:48 GMT14
Is a booster vaccination necessary three weeks after the initial FVRCP
vaccine to maintain immunity????
There seems to be quite a bit of controversy over this in the vet clinics in
my area.  Some vets say Yes, others say No.  My new cat is due for this

My daughter brought home a stray and very quickly it became obvious that
she had brought home more than one. Momma kitty is now showing. I have had
her for about a month and have no idea when she is due. about a week ago
she started laying around either at my feet (wherever i happen ...
Itchy skin10 Mar 2005 21:26 GMT5
I have a kitty, about 8 years old, who has seemingly very itchy skin.
She is a long-hair, and has licked off all of her fur on her inner back
legs and her lower abdomen.  We have always treated her (and our other
cat) for fleas monthly with Frontline, and we have changed her food to
Louie update (collapsing and crying)10 Mar 2005 19:58 GMT9
Thanks to everyone for your advice. I took Louie to the vet today, who
suggested three possible answers: larynx spasm cutting off Louie's
windpipe, a cardiac problem, or hyperthyroidism. The vet was encouraged
that the episodes resolve so quickly. I'm to bring Louie back on
Itchy skin10 Mar 2005 19:46 GMT1
Hi - I have an 8-year-old long-haired cat who, about 6 months ago,
began licking and licking herself to the point where the hair on her
hind legs and lower abdomen is completely gone now.  She is treated for
fleas regularly with Frontline, and we have just changed her diet to a
Can Depo Medrol Cause Fibro Sarcoma10 Mar 2005 18:27 GMT2
My cat of 14 years has just be diagnosed with Fibro Sarcoma, and I was
wondering if anyone was aware if Depo Medrol could induce Sarcoma
Is this something to worry about?10 Mar 2005 18:09 GMT7
I adopted  2 year old  stray George,  in September and
everything is going very smoothly. He's adapted well, he's the only
pet in a 1 person household and has the run of the place. He's an
indoor cat. He's a pretty affectionate little fella, very  much right
Need Help Giving Medicine10 Mar 2005 18:03 GMT6
Bandit *HATES* the Clavamix.  She fights it so badly I'm afraid of hurting
her when we try to force it down her.  I have no trouble pilling a cat, but
I have never had to give medicine in a dropper before.  Bandit jerks her
head right when you start to squeeze the dropper - then she ...
cat survives 40 days in a dresser10 Mar 2005 17:18 GMT12
http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/news/local/11078102.htm
This is unbelievable.  The cat crawled into a dresser as his family was
getting ready to move from Hawaii to Kentucky, and was discovered when the
furniture finally arrived at the new home more than a month later.
Cats with Earrings10 Mar 2005 15:03 GMT18
I went to the museum the other day, and saw a reproduction of Bast, sitting
there with an earring in his ear.  I'm wondering, did the anceint Egyptians
put earrings in their cats' ears?  (No, I have no plans on starting a new
trend.)
Questions on castrated male behaviour towards kittens10 Mar 2005 05:32 GMT6
We have two cats at home, one is a 6-year old castrated male the other
is a 2 year old female which last week got kittens.
I'd like to know how the castrated male will behave towards the kittens.
Will he be agressive and try to kill them ?

1 year cat barfing10 Mar 2005 04:27 GMT20
We got to kittens a year ago. We fed them Purina Kitten food and then
went to what our other two adult cats eat, Iams Adult 1+ year Orginal.
Well, their not kittens now but one keeps barfing after eating and we
can't figure why.
