The hormones must have subsided 'cause TK seems to have lost
all, um..., romantic interest in household objects. 2 days without being
caught trying to mate with anything. I don't know what started it, and

Normal Cat Weight15 Mar 2005 15:26 GMT4
On my vet's advice, I bought a baby scale to weigh my cat every month -
this way any weight changes that are not visible by eye would become
apparent much more easily.
My cat is average size, 3 years old, and weighs 11 lbs, 11 ounces..Is this
Not Behavioral issue... 15 Mar 2005 14:41 GMT6
Hello all. I have a 10 year old cat Zoey that when she gets in her litter
box she squawks down to urinate and then while urinating she lifts her
bottom up and her tail goes straight up in the air twitching and her back
paws in the litter she is sort of shuffles her weight back and ...
Should I switch foods?15 Mar 2005 10:17 GMT10
I am having horrible problems with my new cats diarrhea. I got him 2 weeks
ago from a shelter, so I know he was under a stressful situation, and
probably a bad diet. Yet on the first day I brought him home, he had a
completely solid, normal stool. And ever since, for 2 weeks it's ...
Bandit's Visit to the Vet15 Mar 2005 03:56 GMT8
First, my nerves are shot!!!
The vet said the burn was from the original burn (they discarded all the
heating pads, and they didn't use a heating pad for the surgery Wednesday).
She said it was not as deep, so it took a while for it to slough off the
major panic attack--bird flu!15 Mar 2005 02:31 GMT7
I have been sick with the regular flu all week, and have been following the
news stories about avian flu with some interest.  Tonight I read for the
first time that cats can become infected!
What would happen to a cat that was infected?  Would there be a vaccine
kitten food vs. cat food15 Mar 2005 01:33 GMT10
What is the difference between kitten and cat food? Will it harm my
kitten if he only eats cat food?
Over the last few days, Elwood has decided he only likes the Nutro
(Indoor formula?) dry food I have been feeding Jake, and refuses to
R 2 cats better than 115 Mar 2005 01:23 GMT3
Well, I adopted a new cat - he is too much..3 years old, lays in my arms
like melting marshmallows. But that's the problem - he's TOO loving!! Every
other cat I've ever had never sat on my lap - he whines and cries till he
can sit right on me. Seems to regard me as a human bean bag ...
Other alternatives to Hills prescription s/d?15 Mar 2005 00:44 GMT101
Our female cat recently had emergency cystotomy surgery for bladder stones
or crystals. The crystals were evidently of the Struvite variety and Hills
prescription s/d was recommended. We have both cans and dry food of this
variety.
Tuxedo cat, brown freckles?14 Mar 2005 23:38 GMT13
I was scratching Buddha's ears and noticed big brown freckles on the skin
between her eyes and her ears. They are not raised, and are not crud, they
are definitely skin discoloration. Where they are is in that place in front
of the ears themselves where the fur is sparse?
Microchips in teeth14 Mar 2005 22:41 GMT8
Someone asked me if I was going to have a microchip with our contact
info implanted in my cat.  I am sure you have heard of this before..but
I have not.  Have any of you had this done?  What are your thoughts?
Thanks
Liver shunt cat- lifespan?14 Mar 2005 20:50 GMT5
I have someone who might be interested in adopting my liver shunt kitty,
Ana.  However, she just lost a cat to cancer and isn't sure she wants to go
through something like that again.  Ana was diagnosed 6 months ago by
checking her bile acid levels after a bout of seizures.  ...
Litter box question14 Mar 2005 20:09 GMT12
Hi group,
KitKat currently has a liner in his litter box but he rips it to
shreds.  I was thinking of skipping it next time I change out his box.
Any thoughts?

Our cat, TK, likes to sleep on a table in my wife's office where he
can look out the window and watch the critters in the back yard. So
a few months ago my wife made him a fleece blanket, out of leftover
