Sort of OT - Cat nightmare16 Feb 2005 08:38 GMT3
I had the most horrible nightmare last night.  It has disturbed me all day.
I don't know why my mind would come up with something like this.
Warning -  this is awful and disturbing:
In the dream, somehow my sweet little tortie, Toffee, was sliced in half.  I
Henry in the Snow16 Feb 2005 06:50 GMT1
Our chubby Maine-Coon-Clone loves the snow! He spent a half hour
outside, and jumped on my lap afterward in love.
Now he sits by the door, and will drag his leash to me to let me know
he loves going outside.
Home Again Micorchip?16 Feb 2005 02:21 GMT10
Can anyone tell me anything about the "Home Again Microchip".  I just
brought my act in to get neutered and they asked if I wanted them to do
this while they were doing the procedure.  I said ok.  Has anyone ever
used this before?  I guess the jist is that if my house cat ever ...
Canned Innova Regular: Who Else Uses It?16 Feb 2005 01:44 GMT3
That new thread about cat food got me to thinking who else frequenting
this newsgroup feeds their furry pals Innova?
How much to feed a cat.?15 Feb 2005 23:08 GMT7
As I've mentioned before, our stray Henry is pretty big. He's a
long-haired cat, so he looks even bigger than he really is, but he is
overweight. http://frontpage.visi.com/~blink/images/Henry%20005.jpg
(to give scale, each tile that he's laying on is about 14 inches)
ex-feral kitty15 Feb 2005 20:38 GMT5
There's a local rescue group that has a cat I'm interested in adopting.
The cat, which is about 8 months old, was either dumped or feral at one
point, and they say it's still getting used to the ways of people. I
have two other cats (they say this one should get along fine with ...

I found some of you hiding your cat pics in a thread I have given up on ;-)
So I figured I'd start a new threat for showing off our babies... Any how, I
am new here, but wanted to show off my babies. My site is a few years old...

Tonkinese acting up--need advice from owners!15 Feb 2005 18:42 GMT7
For the last 2 days my 6 yr old, 18lb male cat who is normally in and
out of the house 20 times per day is hiding all over the house. He is
listless-not eating or drinking as far as i can tell. this is very
strange behavior from this cat who specializes in eating and snacks. I
New parents15 Feb 2005 18:11 GMT7
My wife and I just adopted two female littermates, 3 months old.  They
will be strictly indoor cats and were spayed before we brought them
home.
The vet suggested Heartgard and Frontline.  I'm wondering if they are
Cat Personality Change After Anal Glands Expressed15 Feb 2005 15:51 GMT23
I have had my cat for less than 6 months.  She was an affectionate 6
month old stray cat who loved to bump her head on you for attention.
She loved to play under the covers of my bed as though she were
attacking a mouse.  Now after a trip to the vet she has stopped this
Cat Scratches can be a pain in the a.s15 Feb 2005 09:12 GMT28
So I broke up a fight a few days ago in exactly the wrong way, but
grabbing one of the pugilists with my bare hands. Intellect gave way
to emotion, I guess. Henry got me really good on my hand, a really
deep claw-puncture. Mistake #1, don't grab fighting cats. They tend to

My Cat Doesn't Like Seafood??15 Feb 2005 04:46 GMT22
My cat does not like seafood.  Or chicken or tuna or any of those
other things that other cat's I have had seem to die for, LOL.  Is this
normal??  Before you respond,  my cat DOES like,  peppers (jalepenos),
mushrooms, pepperoni, pizza,  and othe wacky things.  But if I offer
Broken Kneecap15 Feb 2005 01:12 GMT5
A few weeks ago, our cat was beaten up by the local bully tomcat. A
visit to the local vet and an x-ray proved that she had broken a
kneecap. The treatment was surgery (at a specialist vet). A hole was
drilled through both halves of the kneecap and they were tied together
