One more Jasper update21 Feb 2005 22:06 GMT19
Well, after reading Phil P's last post...we took Jasper to the Emergency
Vet. He is there resting comfortably right now, on an IV for fluid
therapy and all that good stuff.
Here is the lo-down.
Any ideas? Behaviour21 Feb 2005 18:14 GMT6
My younger kitty routinely paws her way under my sweaters and shirt I wear
under the sweater and cuddles up for a sleep. She is a big time lap cat and
loves to be fussed over but this hiding thing has me stumped. The odd time,
she tries to burrow her way out a sleeve. Any ideas ...
Help: Worried about our cats' health21 Feb 2005 06:47 GMT5
Our two cats have developed a problem with their stool.  It has become
quite soft, and one of them is frequently leaving a little pile outside
of the litter box on the tile floor or in the bathtub.
This has been going on for close to two weeks now.
Urine on porous ceramic tile and grout21 Feb 2005 06:28 GMT4
Hi.  I'm in the early stages of trying to toilet-train my two small
cats.  They kicked some litter out of the box onto the floor, so they
assumed that the litter on the floor was an extension of the litter
box.  The floor, unfortunately, seems to be semi-porous ceramic tile
Elvis Update :(21 Feb 2005 06:00 GMT38
I just got back from my vet & thankfully, my "real" vet was there but it's
really bad news.
He could feel tumors on his kidney and said by the bloodwork he appears to
be in
What if your cat outlives you?21 Feb 2005 01:11 GMT16
I'm poorly at the moment. Makes a change from it being my cat! It's nothing
serious but in my moments of boredom and feeling awful, it occurred to me -
what provision can I make for my cat in the event she were to outlive me?
None of my family are 'cat' people' Nor my friends or ...

to vomit? poor guy. i just don't know what to do. at this point, we

Liver Cancer treatment20 Feb 2005 23:49 GMT5
Well...I called the Animal Medical Center here in New York City..They were
recommended by my vet..Just wanted to ask a few questions, so of course
it's $150 for the initial consultation, and they don't answer questions
over the phone...
Cured of ringworm?20 Feb 2005 20:13 GMT10
I've been told that a young cat I've been interested in adopting had
ringworm at one point but is now cured of it. The shelter, however,
would want me to sign a waiver that if the ringworm got spread from the
cat, they wouldn't be held libel.

Sorry to start a new thread, I couldn't post this to the original one.  I
kept getting an error that Line 3 in the headers was too long.

Thanks to Phil P. for posting about Nutri-Cal for Liver Cancer cat20 Feb 2005 19:54 GMT1
My cat has a 1.5 cm lump in her liver, just brought her in for blood tests
to see if her blood coagulates enough or a biopsy. My feeling is that it is
cancerous...One question is, since it's in the liver it's inoperable..is
radiation an option? Would this work? I guess it would be ...
Feeding cat, how much?20 Feb 2005 19:51 GMT9
Sorry to bring this up again, but.... Our cat (indoor) is always pestering
for food lately, well the last few months anyway, since his operation to
remove the almond. I feed Nutro in the pouch. The guide line on the package
say 2 pouches for every 5 lbs. Since he is now at 20 lbs ...
Moses update 2/1920 Feb 2005 05:20 GMT2
Had a little bit of a setback after the vet recommended taking Moses down
from 1.2 cc to .8 cc of Prednisone a day for his IBD. (He takes the liquid
version, BTW, since we're having to do this every day. I know the drill of
how to properly do it and am able to give Moses pills when ...
Cat/ringworm/vet20 Feb 2005 04:04 GMT5
My cat was recently diagnosed with ringworm, and it's costing me a
fortune!
After an exam with a culture and topical medication that doesn't work
(costing more than $100), I am now having to get oral medication for
