I've been doing this for many years, bringing the outside sounds
inside for my inside only cats. The easiest way is to use a
baby/infant room monitor. You put the microphone part outside a
window or door where it won't get wet, and put the receiver part
older cat refuses to use litterbox24 Feb 2005 21:41 GMT6
We have a total of four cats and three litterboxes.  I have read and been
told that you have to have a seperate one for each cat, but I have witnessed
the three younger cats mixing and matching.  The oldest one *used* to use
the litterbox.
the happy squeaker!24 Feb 2005 19:09 GMT3
Jasper has squeaked (thats what we call it...not quite a meow) more
tonight than he has in a week. :):)
However, he has not done much in the way of poop/pee today. I got one
pee and one small poop. The good thing is that there has been no oozie
Jackie a bit better24 Feb 2005 15:51 GMT8
A good weekend for Jackie. Her poop leakage was down and her activity
level was up. She came downstairs several times and even went outside
twice (enclosed backyard). She does not like snow. Smart cat.
I'm trying to get her to eat a bit more. A few hours after the 6pm
Nutri-CAT24 Feb 2005 14:40 GMT15
I've been posting about my cat - she has a 1.5 cm hepatic mass in the
center of her liver..She has not been eating. I found out about Nutri-Cal
through this site and I think it really has made a difference in her
appearance.. She doesn't have that "gaunt" look..I give her about two ...
the questions never cease24 Feb 2005 07:44 GMT6
Jasper has developed a twitch upon his return home. Only when he is
laying and starting to fall asleep it seems. But it sure is weird. He
twitches kinda all over...you almost think he could have a seizure or
something. (please, no.) I called earlier and the specialist said that
Tapazole question24 Feb 2005 06:21 GMT78
I posted last weekend about my cat & the vet started him on Tapazole
(generic) 5 mg. a day.
He looks worse since I started giving him the medicine although he's still
eating & drinking &
11 year-old male hacking-coughing24 Feb 2005 01:58 GMT5
Hello everyone. My 11 year-old male Short Hair is having occasional,
but very disturbing coughing spells. They ususally start with loud gag,
followed by about a minute of coughing that sounds lung-related (wet
and rattled sound). These episodes occur every three or four days. They
Frustration with the husband over treatment/etc24 Feb 2005 01:11 GMT19
Aside from being so worried about Jasper, the hardest thing in the past
24+ hours was being at odds with my husband. We had to take Jasper to
the Animal 911 yesterday because our vet is closed on Sundays. The 911
place is VERY expensive. NO question about it. Tim wanted them to ...

mast cell tumors24 Feb 2005 00:37 GMT3
I had Melon to the vet today for her hair loss, and she apparently has
psychogenic alopecia.  While there I thought to mention to the vet what I
thought was a wart.  She gets these wart-like things, as does her daughter
Mopsy.
the definition of fighting tooth and nail23 Feb 2005 23:36 GMT10
I think I mentioned this...but just in case. Jasper lost both a claw and
a tooth in his adventures. He literally fought tooth and nail! If only
the vets and the techs could see the sweet angel now!
:)
My exciting Jasper update!23 Feb 2005 16:51 GMT26
Well, I went to visit my little handsome dude! The vet techs walked me
back to his cage and warned me that he was very cranky and that he might
his at me and stuff, so I should be on guard. There is even a sign on
his cage "WILL BITE! MUZZLE MAKES IT WORSE!" Poor Jasper! They ...
Carpeted Closet Litter Box - Is it Possible to Save Your Floor & Be Scent Free?23 Feb 2005 16:35 GMT3
I've got a "human" 10 year old indoor male cat that is entirely incredible.
I've never had a spraying, clawing, escaping or discipline problem with
him.  However, last week, while suffering from a severe cold I made a first-
time mistake of placing his catbox in it's normal place (a ...
What Price For Kitty?23 Feb 2005 10:22 GMT599
I've been thinking about this.  I have spent huge sums of money on the cat I
have had for the past seven or eight years.  But I have money, and I don't
think about it.  But if I didn't have money -- let's say living from
paycheck to paycheck -- and the vet came in and said, "$850 ...
