FIP Kitty26 Feb 2005 00:47 GMT1
My cat was fine till I brought her to the vet last October for a checkup.
She's a housecat who had not been out in about 5 years...
Now she is sick and they suspect FIP. Is it possible that she contracted it
from that one vet visit in October?

(Thank all of you for the responses to my older cat problems.)
The other three are younger and regularly go outside.  I'm the obliging

Problem is I've accidentally reinforced a distressing behavior.  When they
How many cats per litter box?25 Feb 2005 20:49 GMT28
We are about to introduce 1 more sweet, all-black kitty to our other two
tabbies which have been with us for 7 years.
Do we need another litter box to accommodate the newest, who is about 8
months old and 6lb. 4oz? The other two are about 10 lbs each.
FurFace - On His Way Out25 Feb 2005 18:38 GMT11
Furface is pushing 15 yo and was diagnosed with CRF in Aug '03.  He
was doing ok with just subcutaneous fluids, but started to lose
weight.  In Aug '04 they added Pepcid AC, Sucralf, something for high
blood pressure ( I don't remember the name) and Bupren, as needed for

I want to thank the posters who wrote about this amazing cat toy.  I
got one and my cats love it to *pieces*.  For $4 you just can't beat
it!  I've purchased just about every kind of cat toy out there over the
years and most of them get ignored after a minute.  I've never had a

....and my heart is gone with him.  I did take him to U of Penna.   The
bottom line was that he was critically ill - his prognosis
no matter what was poor.  For them to keep him in the ER tonite and IF he
lived the night, which they thought he may not, to transfer him to their ICU ...

CAT FIASCO!!!25 Feb 2005 13:55 GMT26
Sometimes things don't quite go as planned...
You may remember I posted here a few weeks ago looking for advice about
some adolescent feral cats we've been feeding.  We decided we'd bring
them into the house after they get neutered, at least until they
