A multitude of cat problems03 Feb 2005 09:15 GMT33
I have lots of cats, and quite a few of them have unfortunate problems that may or may not be easy to fix.  Here goes:
My oldest cat, Smokey (almost 12), has always been extremely territorial.  She began acting this way right as she matured - or maybe even before that.  Anyway, ...
more re cat food (esp. w/ regard to struvite crystals)03 Feb 2005 07:25 GMT1
Well, I (finally) decided to see what the Hill's site had to say
about the c/d (and s/d, if I remember that aspect).  That because
I was looking at Wysong's Uretic formula, and that indicates it
helps prevent problems and says nothing about dissolving

Re: My cat running crazy after finishing from the litter box02 Feb 2005 12:17 GMT11
Has anyone who has a cat experienced their cat running back and forth
really fast after finishing from the litter box?  I’m beginning to think my
cat is crazy. It’s funny though.
New kitten, very scared02 Feb 2005 04:03 GMT8
I'm doing this for a friend that can't access the ng.  She just brought
home a 5 month old American Shorthair.  The kitten is apparently
terribly scared.  When first taken out of the carry case, she was
shaking all over.  She ran under the couch and can't be gotten out.  My
I might get another cat02 Feb 2005 00:58 GMT5
I have found a cat that needs a home, but I am not sure if mine is the
right one for him.
I saw an ad in the paper for a cat "rescued from the cold". I called,
and the lady seemed very nice, and just wants to find a good home for
Behavior of an older cat01 Feb 2005 21:02 GMT9
A friend has an older female (almost 20 years of age). Her recent
behavior has my friend puzzled.
At her two habitual mealtimes, she always shows up but eats almost
nothing. She apparently is also eliminating nothing in her litter pan.
Info *ALL* cat owners should read about Bartonella01 Feb 2005 20:51 GMT10
I have just recently had a second cat test positive for Bartonella. Both
cats were tested because they had odd teeth issues, and after doing more
research I am now aware that Bartonella can be the cause for many
things, including inflammatory bowel disease and skin problems.
My cat died last night.  Heart attack?01 Feb 2005 19:26 GMT27
My sweet wonderful cat died last night.  He has had a heart murmur for
years and I suppose that's what did it but I'm not sure.  He was
perfectly fine.  He was standing next to me in the kitchen begging for
food when he suddenly jumped up, crashed into a wall then keeled over.
Everybody likes kitty pictures.. my troublesome brood01 Feb 2005 17:21 GMT6
Thought I'd post some pics.
To recap, Tiger is an 11-yr old farm cat we saved from coyotes (Maine
Coon lookalike). Louis is our first breeder-bought cat, a two year-old
Bengal. Henry is a < 2 yr old stray we adopted whose murder Louis

Changing drinking behaviour01 Feb 2005 16:01 GMT6
My two cats absolutely refuse to drink out of a bowl of water left next
to their food (or anywhere!), but will only drink from the bathroom
(which is served by the storage tank).  This is ok for one of the cats,
who will happily drink from a small pool of water left in the bath, but
Weight loss program for obese cat01 Feb 2005 14:33 GMT1
Last Sunday, I took in an extremely obese owner give-up. Spider weighed
21lbs, the vet is estimating his ideal weight to be between 10-12lbs.
His buddy, Snowball, is only about 4lbs overweight.
As they are new to my household, I initially simply put their food out,
Concerned over young fat cat.01 Feb 2005 13:46 GMT8

Urgent:  Can a sexually mature male mate with a sexually immature female?01 Feb 2005 13:43 GMT13
I have two kittens that will hit the 6 month old mark in a couple
days.  Tonight, the male, Sachi, has begun to grab a hold of Hana's
(the female) nape and the first time looked like he was trying to get
into position before I distracted him.  He's tried grabbing Hana's
