Marbles has an abscess08 Feb 2005 16:25 GMT8
Many of you know about my newest kitty, Marbles, who after 7 months
with us, still has to be separated from our other 2 cats, Scottie and
Abbey, due to his desire to chase and torment them.  We have something
of a routine worked out where Marbles lives in 2 rooms most of the time
Shipping???08 Feb 2005 16:07 GMT13
I was at my veterinarian's office and had a chance to read an issue of
Cat Fancy, including the ads. Many for breeders. (Ragdolls seem to be
the breed du jour.) And a lot of them said something to the effect,
"Will ship anywhere in U.S.," etc. Okay, peeps, help me out here -- how ...
Foster cat needs home08 Feb 2005 12:33 GMT2
I am currently fostering a beautiful orange female kitten, about 5-6
months old.  She has been spayed.  Got her around thanksgiving-she was
totally afraid of us and just hid in the closet.
She is wonderful with other cats, now allows us to pet her, loves to
science diet superior antioxipant formula for seniors08 Feb 2005 01:54 GMT3
I've been trying to locate this formula for my two cats but can't find
it in any of the national pet supply chains around here in the metro
Detroit area.
Am just wondering if you can only purchase it at the vets or what.
Liver biopsy - average cost?08 Feb 2005 01:44 GMT2
Does anyone know what the average cost of a liver biospy is with
everything included (biopsy, ultrasound, and office visit)?  I know
the costs vary from place to place but I'd like to hear what others
have paid.
Sub-q Disaster08 Feb 2005 01:10 GMT4
I'm glad she didn't NEED it, need it, today.  I think I got about 40cc
into her before she bolted leaving me and a spraying IV line behind.
Yes, I solo-ed at home alone giving Kami sub-q.  I warmed the bag a
little so it wouldn't be chilly.  She's never liked the scruff of her
Chip?07 Feb 2005 23:02 GMT8
When Francis was neutered, I also asked them to chip him.  I've been
trying to palpate the chip, but I can't find it.  Am I correct that it
will be in the scruff of his neck?  How big is a chip?
Just curious.
Diagnosis?07 Feb 2005 22:04 GMT8
I'm taking my cat to a new vet this afternoon (moved from Brooklyn to
Manhattan) not for her annual check-up but something else, and I want
to go into the new vet's office knowing a few of the possibilities
causing this affliction.
Possible behavior problems07 Feb 2005 16:19 GMT9
We has two female adult cats.  One we've had since she was 6 months and
has always been good.  The other we got from a friend who couldn't keep
her anymore at the age of 4.  She is now 8 and is starting some
behavior issues.  Most of the time she is fine but sometimes she poops
Best cat breed with young children at home07 Feb 2005 14:36 GMT73
Hi. I would like to adopt a kitten for a family house pet. We have
young children. What breeds are most suitable? I like Siamese,
Persians, and Manx. Any others to consider?
Thanks.
Litter problems07 Feb 2005 09:53 GMT1
Thanks for your suggestion. I am going to get a second litter tray and
see what she makes of it and I'll let you know

What lurks in product boxes07 Feb 2005 03:36 GMT3
For those of us who are Pop-Tart junkies, beware what may be lurking in
those larger boxes . . .

Seriously, this cracked me up. The kitty looks surprised. :)
New cat update07 Feb 2005 03:33 GMT4
The new cat seems to be settling in well. He is eating well, and is
using his litter box without any problems. He is constantly moving his
front paws though, it looks like he is giving the carpet a massage or
something. I am wondering if it has something to do with his short ...
Cleaners For Cat Spots07 Feb 2005 01:53 GMT35
Does anyone have any recommendations on cleaners which I can use on bed
sheets and other items when the cats spray? One of my cats seems to be
marking their territory when I am asleep and in the bed. Apparently during
the night the cats are fighting with each other and thus ...
Francis' "little procedure"07 Feb 2005 01:00 GMT142
Well, Francis had his cold trip in his carrier this morning.  OK, not so
cold since he had a hot water bottle (it was 11 F so I relented) and was
traveling on my lap in the cab of my neighbor's pickup truck.  I dropped
him off at about 7:45, and around 9:30 I got a call from the vet ...
