Another Sad Case of  a Cat Hoarder11 Feb 2005 06:38 GMT5
Near where I live they've just found a house where a middle-aged woman
was hoarding cats.  They found 134 dead cats in the house; 25 live cats
are being cared for at the Cat Clinic, the vet facility where I adopted
my guys and take them for care.  There's a picture of a couple of ...
More blame the cat...11 Feb 2005 06:35 GMT11

Sorry I didn't quote the text, it was hard to grab with all the graphics.
Why does the headline have to say "Cat Box Infection"?  I'm guessing the
woman got it from the undercooked eggs.

I've had my 4 year old indoor cat for 8 months now and she is a
healthy, happy cat.  However, when i first got her she loved to play
and would chase anything. She now just sits looking at me as if I'm mad
Icarus & UTI Update10 Feb 2005 23:59 GMT6
For those that care, Icarus is getting much better and this Friday he
doesn't need any more antibiotics. The vet has yet to call about a checkup
so I am sure I have got a couple of weeks before that happens. He and the
other cats get canned food twice a day now and I am still ...

First Meeting10 Feb 2005 17:47 GMT12
I set up some gates in the doorway of the bedroom today for the cats
to get a safe look at each other. Elwood was definitely interested in
the new cat. He had his whole leg through a hole in the gate trying to
paw the new cat. I don't think new cat liked that too much, because he
tattle tale alarm ...10 Feb 2005 15:46 GMT13
Someone just posted the valleyvet.com url, which has tattle tale alarms at
19.95 and looks like free shipping.
Just for fun, I checked petsmart and they have the same alarm for 16.99.  No
idea about shipping, but I know a lot of us have a petsmart nearby.
Science Diet vs Felidae10 Feb 2005 12:03 GMT5
Hi. My vet carries Science Diet, and of course, he claims that it is
the best cat food available. I've heard great things about Felidae. Is
it better that Science Diet, or is that hype too?
Thanks.
How much do you talk to your cat?10 Feb 2005 10:41 GMT66
I was curious just how much everyone actually talks to their cat.  Kami
is Siamese (half) and pretty vocal, except for these later years (her
"meower" seems to be defective.  She only makes sound about half the
time and it's kind of a blessing), but I haven't actually talked to ...

Cat that wets the bed10 Feb 2005 05:59 GMT26
This cat belongs to a friend of a friend.  A five year old altered male
that pees on the bed.  He has been to the vet and was given a clear bill
of health.  This has been going on for quite a while.  My recommendation
would be a Feliway diffuser in the bed room.  Are there any other

You lucky people!
My tabby sisters (RB) were underwear fetishists as kittens!
Fugazi dug out  a pair of the SO's dirtiest underpants and as a baby
used them as a comfort blanket. She also used to like sleeping in the
about adopting ferrel cats10 Feb 2005 04:27 GMT9
Just an idea I am considering. I have 13 acres and 2 barns (lots of
unwanted critters there) and some of the neighbors have cats roaming
free that I do see from time to time.
Now I do have my 4 indoor babies and am not wanting to add any right
