will not come in21 Jan 2005 07:28 GMT8
Our cat, aged about 15, has suddenly decided to stay outside all the
time.  It is just above freezing at the moment. She seems frightened
of my wife and I and having given her a lifetime of love we do not
understand her behaviour.
cat's eating habits21 Jan 2005 02:46 GMT30
I have an 8-year old male cat who has been putting on some weight the
past few years.  He weighed in at 14 pounds his last vet visit in April
and was put on a diet (weight control dry Iams, 1/2 cup a day).  He
initially adjusted well to his new diet, but since we moved a month ago
fur plucker21 Jan 2005 02:45 GMT4
I have a 9 year old cat who has been an "on-again/off-again" fur
plucker.  I had him all checked out, bloodwork and everything all
normal.  He started this when one of my other cats died and then a year
later another of my cats became very ill.  All of this spiked his
Costco's Kirkland Cat Food = Premium Cat Food?21 Jan 2005 02:38 GMT27
All the books I read say that feeding your cat "premium cat food" is
essential.  Would Costco's Kirkland brand cat food qualify as "premium"
cat food?  Would my cat be better off with a brand name, like Iams?
What is the definition of "premium" cat food anyway?  What should I be
Bengal cats question21 Jan 2005 02:32 GMT39
Hello...I was thinking of buying a Bengal cat. A person told me these
cats really like water, and will even walk in the shower sometimes....is
this true? If so, is it rare or common with this breed?
I think the Bengals look pretty cool...those with the gold coat
Cats pupils larger on one side21 Jan 2005 01:49 GMT10
My cats' pupils have suddenly grown different sizes, one is quite a bit
larger than the other. Naturally I'm quite concerned (stroke/blood clot?),
and she'll be in the vets first thing tomorrow morning. From what I can see
they are both reacting to light, although one still ...
Cat Tree at Wal-Mart20 Jan 2005 20:49 GMT3
Has anybody heard if these trees are any good? My cat's about 13 pounds so I
want to get something sturdy for him, however the budget's tight right now.
Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

My cat tux is 3 years old and for about a 1year now he has occasionally been dropped his feces somewhere besides the litter box.  This is not an everyday problem.  I change the litter box very often.  I do have another cat which I have had for 6 years and she has never done ...

Cats were fine and now they're not...20 Jan 2005 17:55 GMT4
I assume I'm gonna hve to take these two to the vet about this... but better to ask for as much help as possible first!
My friend and I (and some others) lived together, and got two sister kittens. We did get them at different times (my friend was more eager than I, and couldn't ...
Howling male cat20 Jan 2005 16:53 GMT7
This new foster pet from the animal shelter is an adult male,
unneutered, and he's howling and crying all the time, like a female in
heat.  He can't be neutered until he gets over his upper respiratory
infection, but I don't think the fact that he's not neutered is the
Female in Heat: How Often20 Jan 2005 15:06 GMT6
I have a female cat, and (admitedly) rather foolishly I haven't had her
fixed yet. How much does this typically cost for an adult-aged cat?
Also, how often do they normally dothis? In our case, it seems to be every 8
weeks. That sure seems often to me, I once had another female that ...
abandoned cats? Need help!20 Jan 2005 08:08 GMT37
I need some advice.
My roommate moved out at the beginning of December 2003 (over a year
ago). His plan was to move to Switzerland, and he asked if I could care
for his two Siamese cats for a while, until he could get things squared

There is a kitty being fostered with The Cat House of Lincoln NE who needs a

How soon should diabetic cat improve with insulin?20 Jan 2005 05:07 GMT6
My 15-year-old cat was diagnosed this weekend with diabetes and a severe
bladder infection. She had been very sick for a day and a half, although I
realize now that symptoms were showing up almost three weeks ago (some of
it, I thought was just her age catching up with her).
