I did it!  Sub-Q for Kami26 Jan 2005 00:09 GMT2
I did my first sub-q on Kami, with the tech present.  We're going back
to Burbank for a few months, which is a two-day car ride, and the vet
recommended she get fluids a week before and the day before we leave
just to make sure her kidneys are flushed and we won't have any
urinary tract infection?25 Jan 2005 18:17 GMT94
I am wondering whether this sounds like a urinary tract
infection?  Or could this be leading up to a blockage?
Mingy (male) has been spending a long time in the box/halfway in
the litterbox, and yesterday I caught him urinating a bit on the
Cranial cruciate ligament surgery25 Jan 2005 17:38 GMT1
(first time poster here, so hello to everyone!)
I came home from work on Thursday to find my cat limping. We went to
the vet on Saturday and she appears to have injured her cruciate
ligament on her left rear leg. The doctor recommended surgery and it is

About cat food?24 Jan 2005 22:12 GMT3
I posted "shedding and flakes?" last week. Thanks for all kindly
responses. Unfortunately I couln't post a follow-up to show my
appreciation (I don't know why I am not allowed to do so).
Anyway, Casey (my new cat) seems shedding less now when I comb her.
Time to remove testes?24 Jan 2005 20:33 GMT8
My cats are five and a half months old and I have just felt discrete
testes the size of a small pip or a tiny pea inside their sacs.  I know
some vets won't operate until cats are 7 months old and others are
willing to do it as early as 4, however, I am inclined to believe that
To neuter, or not, or something else?24 Jan 2005 19:26 GMT73
I have an angel of a tomcat; he never sprays, never gets annoyed with
me, waits in the window for my return from work and even plays fetch!
I'm strict about keeping him indoors because there are several other
apartment complexes near me (high-density human population) and more
tattle tale alarm24 Jan 2005 19:13 GMT13
After seeing some post here about the tattle tale alarm thing I
decided to give it a try. Lancelot has gotten so big now he jumps on
top the highboy and the tv. I really don't want him on either so I am
hoping it will help stop this.

Phil--question re new litterbox24 Jan 2005 17:09 GMT3
Is the placement of the new litterbox also important?  Do they
associate that with the pain they were in?

Kitten 'knock Out' potion??24 Jan 2005 14:03 GMT32
As some here already know, I have a 14 week old kitten, Dove.  Well, I'm
not getting much sleep lately because Dove wakes me up like clock work each
morning anywhere from between 4:00am to 5:00AM. This is not a good thing as

Ketoconazole and Revolution?24 Jan 2005 01:09 GMT7
I have a kitten on Ketoconazole for ringworm.  It's
time for his Revolution application.  I can't find
any contraindications for using these two drugs at
the same time (one post found in google groups
fixed male cat attacking fixed female24 Jan 2005 00:15 GMT5
My neutered mail has started jumping on top of my spayed female and
biting her neck and holding her down like he is tryig to have sex with
her.  She puts up with it for a moment or two and then throws him off,
just like real cat sex.  What is going on.  BTW, this male also
