Cat hair lose28 Jan 2005 03:45 GMT2
We have a Manx long hair cat, Fred.
I noticed that he is losing hair in a spot on
his back hip. I thought
that it might be mange ,but there is no scaling.
Loss of our Tortie and need advice about adopting a new kitty28 Jan 2005 02:56 GMT8
We just lost Bliss 2 days ago.  I apologize first for this long post,
but I think telling the story will help ease the pain.  Bliss was a
beautiful 7 year old Tortie - she was our first of 3 cats and she
immediately bonded with me.  My husband first noticed that Bliss was
Cats indoor aggressive behavoir28 Jan 2005 00:08 GMT1
We have had Angel & Spirit our 2 tabbies for almost 7 years now. Never
had anything but a brief "attitude" problem early on as kittens. Angel
was a "thrown away" kitten we found on the street. With training, love
and attention, she has become a very loveful & lovable lap kitty.
question on food behavior27 Jan 2005 20:09 GMT9
When it's time to break out the canned food (she gets 1/2 can in the
eve) if I'm not on time Meep lets me know it.  She also harasses me
while I'm dishing out the goods (all normal cat behavior).  But as soon
as I set her food down, she looks at it, looks at me, and walks off.
Cat steals our food and devours his own27 Jan 2005 20:09 GMT8
My 3 1/2 year old, male neutered cat goes CRAZY for food. He starts to meow for his dinner at 3:30 so he has it by 4:00. He is medically fine, we had him at the vet and did not get an answer to his strange eating habits. We have to seperate him and our female 5 year old spayed ...
Pododermatitis27 Jan 2005 16:48 GMT6
Does anyone have experience with this condition?  It's also called "Pillow
Foot".  We have a cat at the shelter with this condition and he had been
fine.  It's on two of his paws.  Yesterday when the vet was in, he was
examined because the volunteers the day before said he seemed ...
pushing liquids/struvite crystals27 Jan 2005 15:31 GMT2
As you know, Mingy was just hospitalized because he had a lot of
struvite crystals.  Now that he is home, I am trying to get him to
drink, but most of my usual tactics and even the diluted tuna
water are failing.  He did just lick the liquid off of can of
Cat Needs To Stay Out of the Window27 Jan 2005 02:28 GMT66
I have a cat that stubbornly refuses to stay out of the living room window.
I DO NOT want her in there, I do NOT care how much she likes seeing the
outdoors. The blinds on that window are fragile, and you have to have them
just so or else everyone walking by can see all in there.
Birdsong ID, please: "wh-IC! wh-IC! wh-IC!"26 Jan 2005 23:34 GMT1
A couple of weeks ago I reported birdsong on a slate bank covered in
mosses, heathers and ferns, just outside my kitchen window here in a
remote valley in West Wales at 7.30 at night (pitch black - sun setting
at 5'ish).  It has happened again tonight at the same time (7.30).  (I
Cat Likes Comet26 Jan 2005 20:45 GMT31
I spilled some Comet on the table today, and Mico came around and started
licking it!  He got just a small bit.  That won't cause major damage - would
it??
Thanks in advance,
Prob related to Mingy's leg problem...26 Jan 2005 19:52 GMT1
Mingy is missing a claw on his left hind paw, which is the leg I
thought he was having trouble with.  :-(  This will grow back,
right?  I assume he lost it because he was clinging to something,
but still this is not a pleasing discovery.  Ouch!!!!
Cat coughing?????26 Jan 2005 17:49 GMT17
I know this is a silly question but my cat is making these funny noises
almost like she is coughing.  I've heard one of my others do this
occasionally & I've always thought she might have a hairball she was trying
to bring up or just got some hair stuck in her throat.  But now, ...
Claw-clipping Problem26 Jan 2005 17:25 GMT4
I clip my cat's claws once a month, but I realized this afternoon I
last hadn't since early December. One of her claws has grown inward and
is gently pressing into her paw pad. Unfortunately, when I get the
clipper around even the tiniest portion at the end she go nuts, as
differential diagnosis26 Jan 2005 15:39 GMT2
Our female cat Tabs, is currently being treated for ringworm, including
antibiotics and local shampooing.
The patches she has aren't typical going by the pix I can find on the web, and
what he vet says.
all of my cats are wild cats26 Jan 2005 02:57 GMT1
I will never buy a "bred" cat. I like the kittens that cats have in
my barn every year.
