Kitty with liver problem07 Jan 2005 04:16 GMT3
Our 14 1/2 year old Ragdoll has an elevated bilirubin level (10x normal) and
other liver enzymes are off as well.  White blood count okay, other lab tests
negative and nothing showed up on x-ray.  In the past week she has started
looking jaundiced (inside of ears starting to turn ...
A Great Day07 Jan 2005 00:39 GMT3
To my wonderful "Toni" whose love of cats, help save four kittens and a
mom to have a chance for new start in life. At a local university she
gave birth and brought them to a covered area to be out of a heavy rain
storm. Since saturday she was there in the open with all the school
Speaking of harnesses...06 Jan 2005 21:46 GMT5
Has anyone had luck with cats and harnesses and leashes? I really think
Rosalie might enjoy walking with me and Zoe (the dog) sometimes but I
imagine she would totally freak out if I tried to put a harness on her
(point of reference: she still won't let me pick her up). Anyone ...
Portable outdoor cat enclosure06 Jan 2005 21:35 GMT3
I recently saw an ad for a 10 ft. outdoor enclosure for cats.  I live
in an apartment building which has a courtyard all the apartments look
out on.
This thing is made of green "rip stop" mesh and has stakes to anchor

Do indoor cats have thinner or less fur?06 Jan 2005 17:32 GMT5
My cat is mainly an indoor cat. I think she may have been before I got her
from the Rescue centre.
Her fur seems a bit fine or thin (for want of a better description) and as
though there is less of it than I would expect during winter. She's always
Help With Sick Cat After Spay!!!!06 Jan 2005 17:17 GMT10
My little baby, Bella, was spayed on Dec. 23rd. She did OK after the
surgery, but went downhill about 5 days later. Her incision was swollen  and
she was very lethargic for a day. I took her to the vet who found her
temperature to be 106.1!!!! They admitted her overnight and gave ...
Buddy's thyroid06 Jan 2005 10:37 GMT1
OK, so after 2 weeks on 7.5mg 2 times a day his T4 is 15.
His level is just not coming down and the vet is not upping his dosage at
this time.  She agreed to try him on the name brand drug - even if she
claims that the effectiveness of the generic is very good and probably just

They drink crappy water, and like it!06 Jan 2005 04:53 GMT14
I provide fresh water. I bought one of those fountains for them. Yet
they go into the backyard and drink the rain water that has been
accumlulating in various planter things. Brackish, gross looking
stuff. Slurp. MMMmmmm Good.
Biting cat06 Jan 2005 04:04 GMT5
?I have a 4 year old neutered male cat who came to live with us when he was
a week-old
kitten.  His mother, a stray I had been feeding, moved into my house with
one tiny kitten as the weather got
cat hates baby06 Jan 2005 00:10 GMT53
I have a new baby, she is just over 2 months old.  My cats are fine with
her, one just kinda ignores her and the other treats her like she has always
been around, ie. lies with her (with my supervision) just generally is great
with her.  The problem is my in-laws cat, he hates her.  ...
OK, What does this cat think he's doing?05 Jan 2005 06:05 GMT12

TK's 10 months into leaving the feral world behind and he's becoming
quite an affectionate housecat. A month ago he started doing the "paw
thing", as my wife calls it (kneading). A week ago he added a bite to
What is it with cats and sheets?05 Jan 2005 01:53 GMT3
Every single cat I've known loves to start frolicing when someone is
making the bed.
I figure that if anything they would be afraid of something so much
bigger than they are moving around, but they seem to think it is prey.
Harness problem05 Jan 2005 00:55 GMT6
I'm having a problem getting my kitten to adapt to a harness. She's
almost 6 months old and I want to be able to have her id on her in the
form of a tag. Unfortunately, her first experience was with a collar
and it somehow got stuck in her mouth so that it wouldn't snap free. I
