Thanks for the input ...09 Jan 2005 17:24 GMT6
... on my post about our 14-year-old cat who is basically wasting away to
skin and bones before our eyes, even though he eats enormous amounts of
food, and is unable to control his defecation, and showed the enormously
high liver enzymes on the bloodwork and lymphoma is suspected..
My Cat lost his voice09 Jan 2005 16:16 GMT9
My adult neutered male who is usually very vocal, seems to have lost his
voice. His meow which is normally high pitched and strong is coming out
scratchy and soft. Do you think this is cause for concern? Are there any
serious issues I should be on the look out for? I'd appreciate ...
Kitten unable to walk09 Jan 2005 05:54 GMT5
I have a 3 month old kitten that has lost the ability to walk as she
now has only limited control of her hind legs. The vet performed some
x-rays and said that she is not getting enough calcium and provided the
appropriate medication (1 Ml Calcium twice daily, 1 Ml Pentavite
Lesson #109 Jan 2005 03:09 GMT7
Give your cat their medication BEFORE vacuuming!  I decided to vacuum this
morning and now I can't find Ana anywhere, and I need to give her her
medicine.  I know she didn't escape the house, she just hiding.  I did see
her pre-vacuuming.
Cat iris color changing09 Jan 2005 02:30 GMT7
I just noticed that the color in one of my cat's eyes (in the iris) has
changed slightly. It's gone from green to a brownish green. (The other
iris is more purely green.) I have looked on the web at photos of eye
diseases, and certainly his eye looks nothing like any of the photos

loveable, but has become a bully to his sister lately and has started spraying

Best Cat Food On The Market?08 Jan 2005 18:14 GMT19
Ok, so Costco's Kirkland cat food didn't seem to generate many positive
reviews.  So tell me, what IS the best cat food on the market and what
can I expect to pay for it?

Just wondering how your cat is.  Is she still at the vet's?  I hope she's
feeling better.

Cats and kittens08 Jan 2005 08:33 GMT7
I'm on day #4 introducing two kittens to three adult (18 month old)
cats.  I haven't had any catnip out so far, but I'm debating getting
some out as a treat for the adults now that everybody is being friendly.
Thoughts?
In heat at ~4 months old08 Jan 2005 00:12 GMT29
Well, my Scarlett seems to be in heat. She's aggitating Shamrock
(neutered male, neutered 3 years ago) and doing the rolling on the
floor thing and her vagina looks swollen (ok, I don't know, but I can
see it now and I used to not even know where it is on a female cat).

Hyperthyroidism - Wld appreciate feedback07 Jan 2005 17:59 GMT12
My cat's dx shows T4 = 5.8 (ranges 1.0-5.0)
She has some other #'s that are not much out of the ranges, but she is
someone symptomatic & since she's gone thru so much & I'm finally

The Animal Rescue Site07 Jan 2005 17:18 GMT7
I'm sure a lot of you already know about this, so this is for those that
don't.  If you click on the "Feed an Animal in Need" button on the main
page, you will give .6 bowls of food to a rescued animal in a shelter or
sanctuary.  The URL is:  http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com   ...
Driving Cross Country07 Jan 2005 07:39 GMT21
I will be moving to Oregon next week from Iowa, and I'm bringing my 2
cats with me.  I am planning to drive as much as I can before stopping
for the night (12-14 hours).  I'm worried about how the cats will fare
for such a long trip.  One of my cats hates the car, and I do have a
