First attempt at an ear stick ..15 Dec 2004 23:39 GMT9
Well, after doing all the required reading on my One Touch Ultra and
calibrating it, and practicing on myself, I thought I was ready to try
and give Geordi his first ear stick, in my efforts to get him
regulated here at home without having to take him in to the vet for
Should I get a dog?15 Dec 2004 22:02 GMT22
I have not been here for a long time.  I am living happily with my 3 cats,
plus one feral cat outside whom I feed and provide with a pretty nice little
shelter.
Prior to getting cats in 2000, I'd never had pets.  I have certainly learned
Two new kittens from different breeders?15 Dec 2004 21:19 GMT20
What is the safest timing to get two new kittens from different
breeders?
We will be welcoming a Maine Coone kitten to our home in the next
couple of weeks.  We want four-legged company for the kitten, so we
Cat not eating15 Dec 2004 18:52 GMT8
Can a 15lb inactive house cat sustain itself on the juices in pouch food?
Other than that he is eating less than 3 ozs of the solid part per day. I
put down a 3 oz pouch in the morning and then again in the late afternoon.
There is also a small amount of dry that he may nibble at ...
Cat will only cuddle in one spot?15 Dec 2004 17:55 GMT24
I have a kitty who is very affectionate and likes to cuddle.  Problem is
he will only do so under very specific circumstances.  If I sit in bed
with my legs under the covers, he will crawl up into my lap and stay
there for hours;  However, this appears    to be the only time he's ...
no more glucosamine15 Dec 2004 17:04 GMT5
I was asked to post about Sapphire's experience with glucosamine.  Well, she
was on it for several months and I saw no difference in her going up the
stairs.  Then one morning she wouldn't eat her food with the powder in it.
Without the powder she gobbled up her food as usual.  So I ...
Cat Forever Snobby15 Dec 2004 05:46 GMT80
We have 3 cats, 2 of them are about the same age & are from the same litter.
One of them is just an out & out snob, any time either my wife or myself
EVER attempt to hold her, no matter how gently & slowly we approach, she
inevitably runs away refusing to be allowed to be touched ...

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished14 Dec 2004 14:49 GMT9
So, Thursday we notice that Hakaisha is walking with a strange
hitch-skip on his left hind leg.  We decide to keep an eye on it, as
it's possible he'd pulled a muscle being a Stupid Kitten.  Over the
weekend it gets a little better, but we start realising that he's
Cat renal diet - need advice please13 Dec 2004 20:16 GMT28
I'm hoping someone here can offer me some advice regarding the
practicalities of finding an alternative renal diet to the Hills Feline KD.
I am in the UK and my vet, and all the other local ones only stock Hills.
I've scoured the internet to no avail but to be honest, I'm not sure ...

Nightmare12 Dec 2004 20:40 GMT1
I don't let my cats out - ever - so I don't know where this came from.
In my dream I was walking at the end of my street when I saw a small
gray cat and she was crying.  Next to her was a small gray kitten - flat
as a pancake - obviously run over (no blood or anything gross).  There
