My cat is due to have surgery tommorrow on both eyes to correct inturning eyelids. He's 8 and I'm a bit concerned about anaesthesia at this age. It's being done at the Royal Veterinary College by an experienced eye

| Toruble drinking. | 03 Dec 2004 16:48 GMT | 4 |
Tess, my rolly-polly kitten, cannot drink from bowls without getting water in her nose and sneezing and therefore will not drink from them at all. She is very hesitant about how far she dunks her face in so is always testing the water first with her paws.

| Egyptian looking cat | 03 Dec 2004 04:17 GMT | 7 |
I adopted a 7 week old kitten from the shelter, she's now about 7 months old and a cutie. I've noticed as she's grown her profile is "regal" like a Egyptian looking cat. She is not a pure breed. Her ears are long and pointed and she's a very dark

| Very old cat and feral kitten | 03 Dec 2004 00:32 GMT | 12 |
I have an 18 year old cat who has, along with me, been howling for six months since her sister died. A healthy feral cat at my community garden had kittens and I want to adopt one (it has cured my howling). I'd like to know all the possible diseases, worms, and so on that might ...

| Training an Older Cat to Use a Litter Box? | 02 Dec 2004 07:42 GMT | 7 |
I am looking for suggestions on how to train a young adult cat to use a litter box indoors this winter, instead of doing his business outdoors. My wife and I adopted (or were adopted by) a semi-stray cat in our neighborhood this Summer. A nearby family had been minimally looking ...

For a while, I've been contemplating switching vets. I was *very* disappointed at the way they prescribed food for my Tucker, which caused him to gain 5 pounds--and their only answer was "oh, sometimes this food doesn't work." There are other reasons for making the switch

| Nauseous but hungry cat | 01 Dec 2004 00:47 GMT | 5 |
My cat needs some help. He's 10 years old and has either liver disease or lymphoma. He's needs a biopsy but I really, honestly, can't afford it at this time. During the past couple of months, his health has declined. He's lost about 4 pounds and seems nauseous most of the
