OMH bought out??31 Dec 2004 22:39 GMT13
I was picking up some Wellness today and the clerk told me that OMH has been
sold and bought by a large company.  She couldn't recall who.  I was
wondering if anyone else had the specifics.  Hopefully the larger company
won't mess with the ingredients.
toughening up my 9 month old kitten31 Dec 2004 21:23 GMT34
I'm kind of joking. The problem I have is that I have two kittens one is the
9 month old that I got from a train conductor. It was rescued from a freight
yard. The other is 8 months old and I got it from a local shelter to keep
the other one company.
Can't believe our local HS shelter did this on TV today31 Dec 2004 18:54 GMT14
We have a weekly segment on our TV station CKCO (CTV affiliate) where
a spokesperson (Mark) from the KW Humane Society brings a couple of
pets to the studio to publicize adoptions. Today he had a 4 yr old
Siamese female that he went on and on about how friendly she is but

Are my cats huge?31 Dec 2004 17:15 GMT20
Several people have independently refered to my cats as Monster cats.
They never seemed that big to me.  I decided to weight them by holding
them while I'm on the scale and then weighing myself.
One of them is 21 pounds and the other is 20.  These just regular
Help: Baby dishes in a cat household31 Dec 2004 12:39 GMT7
Any ideas on how to set up a dish-drain area for baby bottles etc. that cats
can't easily contaminate?  Any products already available for this?  Seems
like a problem that must occur in a lot of households.
Weight loss: Tucker's half way there!31 Dec 2004 08:36 GMT14
Some of you might remember my Tucker, whom I've had on a diet of canned
Wellness since late August. I'm thrilled to report that he's more than
halfway there! As of Dec. 10, he weighed 18 lb 2 oz (down from his
original 21 lbs). I can tell the difference in his profile, and he
correction! fur vs. dander vs. saliva31 Dec 2004 04:58 GMT2
In a recent post, I said that a doctor had been skeptical of my allergen
knowledge.  I had a brainfart.  He was skeptical about my statement that cat
allergies have as much to do with *saliva* as they do with dander; not that
they had as much to do with dander as fur.  If that makes ...
protecting cat's sore neck30 Dec 2004 22:27 GMT1
Hello group,
My cat has a sore patch on her neck. She's "under the vet", as it were. It's
possible this sore is ringworm related - it as a small patch on her cheek, and
over the course of a few weeks has migrated to under her chin, the fur growing
swallowing elastics30 Dec 2004 19:00 GMT10
Has anyone elses cat ever gobbled down an elastic?  My cat just did this
last night.  My son hung 2 of them on his door knob and my black cat managed
to get them off.  My younger cat gobbled them up while we were trying to pry
open his mouth to grab them.
Meep gets a coat for Christmas30 Dec 2004 18:16 GMT3
Did something weird and got Meep a 'dog coat' for Christmas:  She
wants to go out so bad but it's too cold for her.
She's suprisingly ambivalent about the coat:  She seems to like it on
(it's polarfleece, which she likes) but because it's built for a dog,

I will be starting my cat on Tapzole by Friday so I did some price

Dufus's surgery29 Dec 2004 17:27 GMT6
Dufus is home and seems to be doing real well. He is a hungry little guy,
never see him eat like this. Getting back to his old self. Hope nothin else
happens now. The vet did save the almond, looks like he crunched it once and
split it in half then swallowed it. Well, Happy ...
